Nicole Nafziger is finally planning a trip home. The former 90 Day Fiancé star has been getting a lot of heat from fans about spending so much time in Morocco, away from her daughter May. But now that the star is trying to get home, she’s worried that she may not be able to.

Where is Nicole?

In March, Nafziger left America to be with her Moroccan boyfriend Azan Tefou. She arrived shortly before travel restrictions went into place due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Now, Nafziger has been in Morocco for months.

Who is taking care of May while Nicole is away?

Nafziger did not bring May on her trip. So, fans have often wondered who has been taking care of the young girl and why Nafziger would agree to be away from her for so long.

The comments bashing Nafziger got so bad that her mom Robbalee had to step in.

“There was no abandonment,” Robbalee responded to the fan in a comment captured by In Touch. “She (May) is getting to spend some time with her grandparents while her mommy is away. There is a lot more to this story than a simple answer.”

She also said that Nafziger was always in contact with May.

“They watch TV together or she shows her the peppers that grow in the garden,” she continued. “Right now, Florida is not even a safe place to come home to. When it is safe to travel, she looks forward to coming home. We are lucky to have this time with her.”

Can Nicole come home?

Nafziger has been battling it out with people calling her a bad mom and demanding that she go home to her daughter since she went to Morocco. One person even called her out and alleged that Nafziger could get home if she wanted to and claimed that the government was even paying for flights to bring Americans home. Nafziger responded to the comment by saying how hard it was for her to get back.

“Haha, they’re paying for it?” she wrote back. “I’d like to know where they said that because every time I’ve looked into it, it’s [2-3 times] the price of a normal flight that the passenger has to pay. Y’all think you’ve got it all figured out because of whatever you [hear], but [were] you one of the people who had to actually email the government to see? Nope. Stop judging my [life] and decisions. Just an idea. I know you won’t listen because it’s easier to pin me as a bad mom and gossip about the drama. Soon enough, y’all can take a [peek] into my real life. Maybe.”

And now, it seems that her travel troubles have continued. The reality star has apparently joined a Facebook group called “U.S. Citizens trapped in Morocco” and is concerned about being able to leave the country.

“Has anyone traveled from a different city to Casablanca for their flight since they closed Casablanca from traveling in or out?” she wrote in a comment captured by John Yates. “What did you have to get to travel to Casablanca? Something from the police or from American embassy? Thanks.”

Nafziger has yet to go home.
