Do Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner Get Along?

Kendall and Kylie Jenner are the two youngest sisters in the Kardashian-Jenner family. The world was introduced to them on Keeping Up With the Kardashians back in 2007 when they were both, respectively, 12 and 10 years old.

When Kendall and Kylie were children, they did not have as much screen time as their older sisters and, as such, came off to many viewers as being similar to each other. However, as they grew older, it became clear that each girl had her own unique personality and that they were, in fact, total opposites of one another in certain aspects.

Kendall is now a supermodel and Kylie is a mother, as well as the owner of a successful makeup company. This begs the question: do the two sisters get along these days? Are they secretly jealous of each other or are they total buddies? Here’s what we know.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner experienced sibling rivalry growing up

Like many siblings, Kendall and Kylie did sometimes felt like they were in competition. Since they are close in age and were always associated with one another, there’s no doubt that all the comparisons that people were doing occasionally took a toll on them.

Kendall recently opened up about one experience that she had in middle and high school. At the time, Kylie was making lots of friends and Kendall (who was more shy and quiet) was very jealous about it.

“I was sitting in my room a lot of days crying because Kylie had so many friends, and I didn’t know what to do, and it’s gonna make me emotional right now.” She added, “I really was like, ‘I’m never gonna have friends,’ and to look at my life now, it’s so crazy.”

Of course, these days, Kendall does not lack friends at all. She can often be seen hanging out with many different people, most of whom are also models themselves, such as Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and Cara Delevingne. 

And even though friends flocked to Kylie more when they were growing up, there was one person who Kendall might have ‘stolen’ away from her little sister. Speaking to Elle, Kendall shared that model Hailey Baldwin, who she is often seen with a lot, was originally Kylie’s friend.

“She was actually best friends with Kylie, and I was good friends with her cousin Ireland,” said Kendall. “Hailey lived in New York, and whenever we were there, we would hang out with her… [During my first New York Fashion Week, I] stole Hailey from Kylie. From then on, she was my homie. At first, Kylie was mad; I had to bring them back together and be like, ‘No, it’s okay, guys.’ But it’s all good; that’s our love story.”

These days Kendall and Kylie Jenner are closer than ever

Despite little fights and arguments that Kendall and Kylie had throughout the years, the two of them are not enemies at all. In fact, they are actually really close. It’s even believed that Kylie is the sister that Kendall is the closest with in her family.

When Kylie became a mother last year to baby Stormi, it has also brought them closer together. She told Elle that, while “it’s obviously a bit weird” that Kylie, who is younger, is already a mother, the new addition to their family has been helpful in giving the sisters’ bond a boost.

The 23-year-old model even revealed once that Stormi is her favorite out of all her nieces and nephews. “I do feel…a really special connection to Stormi. I don’t know if it’s that Kylie is my little sister, but I was hanging out with her the other day at lunch, and we were just sitting, and [Stormi] was just so comfortable with me, and it made me so happy.”
