Jersey Shore: Family Vacation has returned with all new episodes, but many fans are wondering if Jenni “Jwoww” Farley will bring her boyfriend Zack “24” Carpinello back into the mix. The couple took a brief hiatus after some controversial Family Vacation footage aired in Oct. 2019, but Farley and Carpinello have since rekindled their relationship.

To keep it that way, Farley wants to distance Carpinello from filming in the future. That’s understandable, considering the drama that ensued between Angelina Pivarnick and Carpinello last season. Find out how Carpinello’s appearance on Jersey Shore ultimately lead to problems in his relationship with Farley.

Meet Zack ’24’ Carpinello

Farley started seeing Carpinello last spring. The 34-year-old introduced her then 24-year-old boyfriend to the Jersey Shore crew during a trip to Las Vegas. Most of the roommates, including Vinny Guadagnino, Pauly DelVecchio, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Deena Cortese, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro hit it off with Farley’s new love interest. Pivarnick, however, started things off on the wrong foot.

There was definitely tension between Pivarnick and Carpinello. His playful banter came off as flirting, which Pivarnick misunderstood for disrespect, both to herself and Farley. Ultimately, the way the two interacted ended up creating problems in Carpinello’s relationship with Farley.

’24’ gets a little to close

When the footage of their trip to Las Vegas aired in Oct. 2019, Farley witnessed Carpinello getting inappropriately close to Pivarnick for the first time. When the show was filmed, Farley was incoherently laying between Carpinello’s knees. When the footage aired, it was evident Carpinello put his hands on Pivarnick in an inappropriate way. Seeing this footage caused a rift in Farley’s relationship with both Pivarnick and Carpinello.

After the episode aired, Farley and Carpinello split up. Seeing the footage compelled Farley to publicly call Pivarnick and Carpinello out on Instagram, where she explained how hurt and betrayed she felt by “someone [she] called a friend and by someone who stated they loved [her].”

‘JWoww’ admits she threw Zach to ‘a pack of wolves’

Farley and Carpinello reconciled their relationship in Dec. 2019. When People asked Farley about introducing Carpinello to her world, she said she “forgot what [it was] like to introduce someone to [her roommates].” Remember, she first brought ex-husband Roger Mathews around the cameras during the early seasons of Jersey Shore back in 2009. Farley said she also forgot “how intimidating it might be and how intimidating 30 cameras might be in your face.”

“It didn’t turn out great for us,” Farley explained. All seemed to be going well when Farley first bought Carpinello around, but Farley realized later that she “threw him to a pack of wolves.” When season three of Family Vacation aired, it quickly became clear that their relationship wasn’t going to work if he was part of the show.

Farley said she and her Jersey Shore cast mates “see [the footage] just like the fans do,” — edited and live on television. Therefore, it’s hard to know what kind of stories are going to play out in any given season. What happened that night between Pivarnick and Carpinello was truly a mystery until Farley witnessed it for herself — along with the rest of the world.

Moving forward, Farley said she wants to keep her relationship with Carpinello off-camera. Carpinello may not make an appearance on this season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, but that doesn’t mean there will be a shortage of drama.
