A primer on Karlie Redd’s age on ‘Love & Hip Hop’

Through years and years of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, the age of Redd has been one of the biggest plot points in the show. It has also been a major source of the show’s comic relief.

It has been such a big part of the show, back a few years ago, VH1 even made a video with Redd’s Love & Hip Hop co-stars guessing her age.

The hilarious video had her fellow cast members saying things like “Karlie’s so old she got a selfie with Moses,” which Yung Joc joked.

Redd revealed her real age on ‘The Real’

Last year, Redd opened up about her real age on daytime talk show, The Real. During the sit-down interview, she said, “I’ve never been afraid to tell my age. I just don’t know what the obsession is with it. Maybe it’s because we look young and beautiful.”

When co-host Jeannie Mai straight-up asked Redd if she was 45, Redd confirmed the information. “I have no idea,” she said when asked why the age was such a topic of discussion. “It’s like top trending everywhere. I don’t understand.”

The interview took place in May 2019, which means that soon, Redd will turn 46. She also has a daughter, Jasmine Lewis. After being rarely talked about on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Lewis appeared in an episode last summer.

Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta returns for its new season later this year.
