One of her more recently released songs, ā€œCut to the Feelingā€ became somewhat of a Pride Month staple, especially after it appeared as a lip-sync song for the Emmy Award-winning reality competition series RuPaulā€™s Drag Race. The track also made it to the Canadian-French animation movie Ballerina.

ā€œThat was definitely from the era of EĀ·MOĀ·TION. That was actually a contender for [EĀ·MOĀ·TION: Side B] and, originally, the first album,ā€ Jepsen said during an interview with Entertainment Weekly regarding the song. ā€œIt was almost too cinematic and theatrical. I was like, ā€˜If I had my way with it, this would be great for a musical or movie!ā€™ā€

ā€˜Making the Most of the Nightā€™ from ā€˜Emotionā€™
