Once again a professional dancing couple will be fighting it out for the trophy in Season 27 of Dancing with the Stars. Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson are competing against each other this season all while planning their wedding. That’s right, the couple got engaged in June on a trip to Venice. So why not dive into the details of their upcoming nuptials? Here is everything to know about the couple’s wedding planning.

Val Chmerkovskiy says wedding planning has been stress-free

If you were counting the couple out this season because they have something huge going on in their personal life, then you might want to reconsider. The future groom told People, “It’s good. Wedding planning is good, it’s happening,” and “It’s organic, it’s stress-free.”

The wedding will reflect their different backgrounds

The couple is taking on the task of blending their different backgrounds into their big day. “Trying to fuse a Jewish-Russian family with a Mormon family from Utah definitely is a challenge,” Chmerkovskiy told People.

They have chosen the month they will get married

The two are busy when it comes to their careers so they probably got the hardest thing down by choosing a wedding date. “We have kind of the time, the month,” Chmerkovskiy told ET “We’ve narrowed down the month, which is sometime next year.”

The wedding won’t be at a castle

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd really did it big by getting hitched in New York’s Oheka Castle, but his brother won’t be doing the same. “I think a castle is very suitable for them,” he explained to ET. “I’m a little more blue-collar than that. For me, my life is a fairytale. I mean that.”

The party might also be more intimate

Once again the future groom stressed that the affair won’t be that extravagant and that means there won’t be an endless guest list. He joked his friends won’t be invited to the big day then told ET, “We’ve been talking budgets. We’ve been talking 2018. We’re talking like, I celebrate you every day. Why do we need to pay extra for another meal?”

Adam Rippon has been announced to be a bridesman

The Olympic skater teamed up with Jenna Johnson for Dancing with the Stars: Athletes, and he was one of the first people she called after getting engaged. Chmerkovskiy told Good Morning America, “I believe that Adam will be a bridesman.”

It seems like we can expect an intimate and personal ceremony for the engaged couple. It’s also safe to say that there will be some great dancing on the big day.
