Vanderpump Rules premiered in 2013 and has been entertaining fans with endless drama and fights. The show recently finished filming its ninth season, and fans can catch up with the cast this fall.

According to Lala Kent, viewers can expect intense conflicts as usual, but they will also be “much deeper” than expected.

Fans will see cast changes on season 9 of ‘Vanderpump Rules’

Last year, Vanderpump Rules bid farewell to numerous cast members, including some who had been on the show since the very beginning.

For example, Stassi Shroeder and Kristen Doute were fired in June 2020 after fans brought up their past racist incidents. Bravo also let go of Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni for racist tweets they made resurfaced.

In December 2020, couple Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright announced their departure, but they did not specify a reason.

Then, in April 2021, Dayna Kathan also left the show.

There will be new faces on season 9 to fill the holes left my some departures. However, the identities of these new cast members are still a mystery.

Lala Kent says the drama will be ‘much deeper’

The huge cast changes will no doubt create a new dynamic on Vanderpump Rules. Kent also shared that fans can expect “much deeper” drama as some people are going through new stages in life. In particular, she and Scheana Shay recently became moms for the first time.

Kent told SheKnows, “think people will be surprised to see the drama and what a huge storyline Scheana’s fiancé Brock is. It used to be about sleeping with each other’s boyfriends or like, you said this and you did that, and it’s much deeper than that.”

“I think the stakes are way higher now because you have families and things mean more to you guys than it used to,” Kent’s fiancé, Randall Emmett, said. “But at the same time, you guys are all back in action.”

Kent and Shay have not always been on the best of terms, but the two of them recently bonded over motherhood. In March, Kent gave birth to her daughter, Ocean. A month later, Shay welcomed a baby girl named Summer Moon.

“I don’t know how I would have done if I didn’t have Scheana, who was understanding all of those moments of like, ‘We have to go film tonight, but I really just want to be with my kid. I haven’t seen her all day,’” Kent told Entertainment Tonight. “So she understood that and it was nice to have that person to bond with over being a mom, and a new mom at that.”

Kent and Shay’s children have even hung out together and appeared on-camera.

Kent said, “Ocean’s] timing is impeccable, I will say. When we film Vanderpump, they’re only allowed to film for 20 minutes just because of their age, and she could be a terror. The second she knows she’s on camera, she calms herself down and then when she’s wrapped, she’s back to screaming her head off. She’s a professional.”
