‘Vanderpump Rules’: Lala Kent’s Fiance Randall Emmett Used to Be Married to This Star From ‘You’
Netflix’s stalker series, You includes more than one familiar face in the cast. Joining Penn Badgley, the former Gossip Girl himself is an actress Vanderpump Rules fans may know.
Actress Ambyr Childers commands the role of the infamous Candace Stone in season 2. The character was often referenced during season 1, however, fans thought anti-hero, Joe Goldberg had murdered her. But at the end of season 1, she shocks viewers by appearing at Goldberg’s bookstore. Candace then takes on a large role in season 2 and is a huge part of the wild twists and turns.
As the story unfolds, fans couldn’t help but get a Vanderpump vibe from Candace. Perhaps one reason is that Childers used to be married to Lala Kent’s fiancé Randall Emmett. The couple shares two children who are often featured in both Kent’s and Emmett’s Instagrams. In the past, Childers took issue with seeing her children included in Kent’s public account. However, any animosity seems to be in the past as Childers celebrates her blossoming career and welcomes Kent into her life.
Childers was uncomfortable seeing her children on Kent’s Instagram
Kent’s fans have seen numerous photos of Emmett and Childer’s children on her Instagram. But Childers ended up asking Kent to refrain from posting photos of her children via her Instagram story. Childers and Emmett divorced in 2017 and have daughters London, 9, and Rylee, 5, People reports.
“Since you don’t want to answer my text messages, I’ll try here,” Childers wrote. “Lala, I appreciate your love towards my children, but until you’re officially their stepmother please refrain from posting my children on social media! I hope [you] understand where I’m coming from. Many thanks.”
Childers also included photos of her daughters in her Instagram story message, which Kent had previously shared on the social media platform. Her message seems to be received as Kent’s Instagram appears to be extremely scaled back.
But the family appears to be coming together
Although Childers wasn’t happy with the amount Kent was sharing, she had a sweet moment with Kent and her girls during the holidays. Emmett captured the gathering and commented, “Happy Chanukah and Merry Christmas, a very special one for so many reasons. @ambyrchilders @lalakent #modernfamily.”
In the video, Kent shows Childers a Christmas gift she got for her. She explains that the device helps to make peeling garlic easy. “You cook right?” Kent asks Childers. Childers says she cooks “ish” but Kent adds, “She was like, ‘My mom would love that!’ So I was like, ‘I’m getting her one!'” The girls are gathered with their mother and Kent as they comfortably chat about the gift.
Since You season 2 was released during the holidays, fans can’t get enough of Childers. Her signature heart-shaped glasses are trending and viewers are loving Childers in the role. “I love the character of Candace. And you play her so well,” one fan remarked on a promotional video she shared. Childers replied, “She is soo fun to play.”
