‘Vanderpump Rules’ Why Stassi Schroeder’s Mom and Beau Clark Aren’t Speaking
It’s no secret that the cast of Vanderpump Rules is a rowdy bunch. Which can make it hard for them to maintain relationships with people outside of their friend group.
Often times when one of them tries to bring a new person in who they are dating, the person gets overwhelmed or decides that the group is too much and leaves.
One person who knows this routine all too well is Stassi Schroeder. Throughout the seasons of the show, we have seen Schroeder date a number of men who just didn’t treat her right or didn’t get along with her friends.
Now, she has finally met someone who can handle how wild she is, both sober and drunk, and who can handle her crazy friends. But the one person in her life that her boyfriend, Beau Clark, isn’t talking to is her mom.
What happened when Clark met Schroeder’s mom?
Schroeder and her mom, Dayna, have a very tumultuous relationship. Sometimes they are on good terms and other times, they can’t seem to stand each other.
When Dayna came on Vanderpump Rules and met Clark, it was extremely awkward. She was in town for Schroeder’s 30th birthday but quickly made the day about her, touching Clark’s butt and commenting on Schroeder’s past relationships.
At one point, she even said that Clark was above Schroeder.
“I think that he balances you out, but you’re actually down here, and he’s up here,” she said to her daughter at the party.
Later, during Kristen Doute’s James Mae launch party, Clark admitted that the whole meeting made him feel uncomfortable.
“I’m a guy who’s not good with confrontation up front, so I kind of always laugh things off and try not to make a thing of it, but it just made me feel really sad for Stassi because from that I’m like, ‘Oh, well, maybe that’s why you feel so insecure about things because your mom puts you down,'” he said. “So, just stuff like that popped into my head. It’s just sad, and I feel bad for Stassi.”
Why isn’t Clark speaking to Schroeder’s mom?
It seems that since the show filmed, Schroeder and her mother still haven’t come to good terms, which means Clark isn’t speaking to Dayna, either.
“Well, I’m not talking to my mom right now, therefore, they’re not talking right now,” she said during the Vanderpump Rules After Show when asked about Dayna and Clark’s relationship.
“They did get along – like we all did until we didn’t. Now, it’s just Beau respecting my wishes,” she said.
Dayna’s apology
Since the episode aired, Dayna took to Instagram to apologize to her daughter and fans of the show.
“Nastassia knows how much I love her and how I think she is the most confident, smart, witty, kindhearted, loving girl. I am so proud of her and all of her accomplishments!” she said. “I do, however, have to step back and tell myself that people that don’t know me or us, don’t get to see our rapport together… And that’s why people who don’t personally know us would think that I was SERIOUSLY saying those wisecracks to Beau and Stassi to be that horrible of a mother? I was trying to be ‘that embarrassing funny mom.”
“And I get it. If I saw this show and someone’s mother was laughing and teasing her daughter unmercifully, I would think she was awful [too]. But ya’ll have no idea how loving and close of a family we are. Including Beau and the girls and their wonderful mothers. I’m very sorry if I offended anyone in our group that day.”
