‘Very Cavallari’: Kristin Cavallari’s Former Employee Explains the Suspicious Video of Her Lunch With Jay Cutler
Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler had a pretty brutal public divorce last year. Things between the two got pretty ugly before they were able to come to a mutual agreement about their kids and house. But amid all of this turmoil, Cavallari’s former employee Shannon Ford had lunch with Cutler. Now, she is explaining what that meal was all about.

Earlier this year, after an extended vacation together, Cavallari announced that she and Cutler were splitting.
“With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce,” she wrote. “We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family.”
Though reports theorized whether the split had to do with infidelity, sources close to the couple said that nothing sinister had happened between the two.
“There’s nothing scandalous or suspect about their split,” a source told Us Weekly. “Honestly, they just fell out of love and grew apart. It wasn’t officially over until this week. She’s planning to stay in Nashville so they can co-parent.”

Shortly after news of the split broke, a video of Ford and Cutler’s lunch together started resurfacing and people wondered if she had anything to do with her former boss’ divorce.
Yesterday, on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Ford explained the truth behind the video.

She said she was visiting her family for Thanksgiving in Charleston when she realized her agent, Mark Block, was also in Charleston. She arranged to meet up with him and he just happened to be with Cutler.
“People don’t realize this, but I was with my mom and my grandma,” she said. “That’s how not spicy it was.”
“I was trying to be very cool,” Ford said, though she admitted she was confused as to why Cutler posted the video.
“I wanted to be, like, the cool girl that was genuinely just like enjoying a drink with her friend and Jay,” she said. “So I was like, I’m not going to make this weird at all. I want to prove to them that I’m like, not weird.”
Ford doesn’t have any insight into why Cutler and Cavallari called it quits.
“I don’t know anything about like them together, but I only just viewed them as parents,” she said.
Throughout the interview, Ford refused to give her opinion on the split.
“My opinion is it’s none of my business,” she said. “There are three small children who have parents that are divorcing and that’s sad.”
How is Kristin Cavallari doing?
Since the split, Cavallari has been linked to comedian Jeff Dye. In a recent Instagram post, the reality tv star seemed to be in good spirits.
“33 was a crazy year to say the least,” she wrote. “The ups and downs, highs and lows. But I can honestly say it was one of the best years of my life. Lots of growth and opportunity. I feel like I’m back to my old self and it feels really d*mn good. This is 34.”
