Vicki Gunvalson is the OG of The Real Housewives of Orange County. The reality TV personality was on the show for 14 years and announced her departure ahead of season 15 of the series. Following Gunvalson and Tamra Judge’s exit, Elizabeth Vargas joined the cast and has hit it off with Kelly Dodd. After Vargas defended Dodd on social media, Gunvalson took to social media and didn’t have a nice thing to say about her fellow housewife.

Why did Vicki Gunvalson lash out?

Gunvalson and Dodd were friends when the latter joined in RHOC Season 11. However, the two had a falling out when Gunvalson continued to see Dodd’s ex-husband and even go with him on double dates. Dodd felt that it was shady Gunvalson didn’t give her a heads up and completely hid it from her. Ever since that moment, their relationship became irreparable.

With Gunvalson gone, Dodd has positioned herself as the new queen of the franchise as she is constantly surrounded by controversy. As the pandemic hit the world, Dodd has pushed out conspiracy theories about the virus. Fans have called her out on social media for not socially distancing, traveling and aiding the spread of the virus, and not wearing a mask.

As Dodd gets a lot of heat, newcomer Vargas came out to her defense on social media for the brutal attacks she’s been receiving.

“Everyone has an opinion and frankly, I’m disappointed in the fact that no one understands Kelly, which is fine,” Vargas said in a viral Instagram post. “Kelly has her own point of view, why are you judging her? Why? We all have our opinions. Why are you judging her for hers?”

Vargas went on wondering why fans continued to “judge” Dodd and former housewife Gunvalson had a reaction.

“Idiot,” the OG star posted.

Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge provoke Kelly Dodd’s reaction

Although Dodd didn’t reply to Gunvalson’s comment, she did have a reaction to another incident on Instagram. Back in mid-August, Gunvalson and Judge met up for brunch. Both ousted housewives have remained closed friends since their exit from RHOC and they both are not friendly with Dodd.

During their time out together, Gunvalson and Judge hopped on Instagram Live to share the moment with their fans and spilled some tea about RHOC Season 15.

“They filmed the season finale two nights ago and oddly enough, we weren’t invited,” Judge said revealing that the series had wrapped filming.

“And guess what?” Gunvalson chimed in. “The episodes are down to 12 versus 22… Maybe there’s no content because they are fake bit**s.”

Judge cut away from Gunvalson and changed the subject quickly. The video was shared by fans on social media and it got to Dodd’s eyes who did not shy away from responding to her former co-stars.

“I love that she works on production now,” Dodd replied to a fan asking about the alleged shortened season. “Move on girlfriend, it’s none of her business how many episodes we have. IT’S actually up to 15 plus the finale and the reunion… don’t be jelly sister.”
