Viewers of the hit series were extremely confused after watching the mid-season finale. Multiple locations and scenes were highlighted out of sequence which made it a little difficult to follow along.

A major conversation was highlighted between Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen) and Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) that couldn’t have happened. They were both busy preparing for battle and then fighting in different locations to have had this conversation on the beach.

Did Bjorn Ironside actually die?

In the episode, Ivar comes out of nowhere and appears to stab Bjorn. He falls to the ground and seems to be mortally wounded. Some fans on Reddit think the situation didn’t actually happen and believe it was all in Bjorn’s head.

“The title ‘The Best Laid Plans’ explains the entire episode, a Reddit user explained. “The reason it seemed like everyone was astral projecting everywhere is because the battle hasn’t even begun. What if most of the episode is Bjorn imagining different strategies and scenarios based on Ivar’s plans? He’s imagining different scenarios and needs to find the Best Laid Plan” to defeat the Rus and protect his people and land.”

Why fans are still debating what went down in episode 10 of season 6 of ‘Vikings’

Fans are understandably confused about what happened in the episode and where it leaves the main characters. While some fans believe it was all in Bjorn’s head, other fans aren’t so convinced. Viewers are still talking about the episode on Reddit and it doesn’t appear to be letting up anytime soon. It was so confusing that people are still trying to figure it out.

“The battle didn’t make much sense to me. Usually the battle scenes in Vikings are well done and give you a sense of the big picture but I was lost with this one,” a Reddit user wrote.

One fan of the show thinks it was clearly “symbolism” and that Bjorn was actually stabbed by someone else. “It was pretty obvious symbolism. Bjorn was actually stabbed by a random soldier,” someone else revealed.

Another fan thinks it’s clear Ivar wasn’t the one to kill Bjorn because he was in a totally different place. “Ya the way he was slicing everyone up that’s doubtful. They just jumped to him being on the beach when he was never fighting there before. He was off the beach up the hill kinda,” the user explained.

Fans are still trying to figure out what actually happened in the mid-season finale of Vikings because it was so confusing. Hopefully when the series returns, we’ll get some much-needed answers about the fate of Bjorn and everyone else on the show.
