Billie Eilish will star as Sally in a live-to-film concert of ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’

This animated film told the story of two holidays that met by mistake. Years later, it’s still a fan-favorite movie to watch from Halloween through Christmastime. Now, some actors are creating a live concert version of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas

“Jack Is Back! I was so sorry to have missed last Halloween. (We all know why). BUT- I’m not skipping this year. Jack wants to get back on stage. I can’t wait to see you all,” Elfman said in a statement, according to Ticket News.

What makes this performance different from years past is the inclusion of the Grammy Award-winning Happier Than Ever artist, Eilish. The singer will appear as the lovestruck ragdoll Sally in this production, primarily performing “Sally’s Song.”

“It’s my pleasure to announce that special guest star [Billie Eilish] will be joining the nightmare gang to sing Sally for our upcoming Nightmare Before Christmas shows at the Banc of California Stadium,” Elfman tweeted during October 2021.

Other performers making an appearance include Weird Al Yankovic (Lock) and Ken Page (Oogie Boogie). This wouldn’t be the first time Eilish and Elfman met, as one fan prompted tweeted a picture of the two musicians. Of course, fans of both artists look forward to the upcoming performances.

How to watch Billie Eilish as Sally in Tim Burton’s ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’

As an almost annual live event, fans can only watch this production of The Nightmare Before Christmas live at the Los Angeles venue. Since tickets were released, seats for the Friday, Oct. 29 concert sold out. Some are still available for purchase for the Sunday, Oct. 31 event.

There’s no word regarding if, or when, a recording will be released on Disney+. However, the original The Nightmare Before Christmas is already available on the subscription service.

Sally was initially voiced by Home Alone, Beetlejuice, and Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events actor Catherine O’Hara. This performer also starred in the Emmy Award-winning television series Schitt’s Creek.
