On the episode that aired on Tuesday, January 21, Williams wore a sheer polka-dotted dress that she feels a 5-year-old could wear as well.

“It’s cute, but it’s definitely not sexy,” she told the audience before saying how she was going to make it sexy.

As she stood up from her purple chair, Williams pulled up her dress to reveal the slip that she would take off to make it more sensual.

“The whole thing becomes see-through,” she said as audiences clapped.

At this moment, Williams looks to someone at the audience who was also wearing a polka-dotted outfit.

“No, we are not matching,” Williams told the audience member. “Polka-dots are cute but you can’t make that sexy.”

The audience audibly gasped at Williams’ shade, which she clarified was not meant to be shady.

“Go along with the joke. I mean you look nice but we’re talking about two different things over here,” Williams added while the audience member laughed off the shade.

Wendy Williams in the middle of ‘RHOA’ drama

In the same episode, Williams caught herself in the middle of drama with NeNe Leakes from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The TV host was interviewing Jerry O’Connell when she dropped the bombshell that Leakes was quitting RHOA.

“I took a break between commercials, my office is right there behind the set. I had to go to the bathroom and so I looked at my phone between commercials. And NeNe texts, ‘I’m quitting,’ ” Williams said. “I’m surprised I got it, because I have no service in my office, but I got it.”

As a big Bravo and Housewives fan, O’Connell tried to dig deeper and find out why Leakes was trying to leave the reality series.

“I know something about NeNe that you all will cry, be sad and feel bad for her,” Williams teased. “She’s carrying the weight of a huge thing on her shoulders. I’m not going to say it, she’s got to say it. But in my opinion, NeNe, you need this platform to explain the other part of your life.”

Williams asked Leakes not to leave the show as it’s a great platform to talk about her issue at hand.

“Forget arguing with them broads … you’ve got that secret, and that secret is going to melt their hearts,” Williams continued. “Because when she shared it with me, I cried with her.”

Leakes then shared a post on Twitter alluding to her conversation with Williams.

“Private conversations should be left in private,” the RHOA star tweeted. “What are girlfriends for if you can’t vent to them on those type of days.”

The Wendy Williams Show airs weekdays in syndication nationwide while RHOA airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
