Little People, Big World is one of TLC’s most beloved reality series with 22 seasons so far. It centers on the now-divorced Matt and Amy Roloff, who both have a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia, and their four children — one of whom is also a dwarf. Together, the family manages a pumpkin farm as well as navigates the struggles and triumphs of everyday life. Although the series is a wholesome family show, it has not been without controversy. Some of the controversy surrounded the family’s youngest son, Jacob, who left the series in 2016. Yet, despite the drama, today, the youngest Roloff lives a low-key life with his wife, Isabel Rock, in Oregon. This has caused fans to wonder: What does Jacob Roloff do for a living since he’s not involved with the show? Keep reading to learn more.

What happened to Jacob Roloff?

No family is without drama, and the Roloffs are no exception. The youngest Roloff, Jacob, in particular, seemed to attract attention. He dropped out of school and left the family farm as a teenager. Even before that, however, Jacob left the family series with a bang. In 2016, he blasted LPBW on his Instagram. His claims included that producers orchestrated the family’s storylines, the conversations were comically forced, and the main concern was boosted ratings. He himself wanted to stay authentic to himself, so he left the show to avoid being portrayed as a caricature.

In 2020, Jacob further explained his unhappiness with LPBW when he alleged that an executive field producer molested him. Jacob kept the abuse a secret from even his family. In fact, Jacob only told his father two days before he posted the news on Instagram for the public to see. In the post, he made it clear that no blame belonged to his family. The abuse involved years of grooming, took place off the family farm, and no one in the family had any idea.

After leaving the family farm in Oregon, he traveled with his wife in a camper van. The lifestyle suited the free-spirited couple. Isabel focused on her photography while Jacob wrote books that had respectable success. Together, with their dog, the couple hoped to visit 10 states and 10 national parks. However, the couple did not end up living the van life forever, no matter how idyllic it seemed.

According to TV Shows Ace, the couple settled down in Bend, Ore. Fans have speculated what exactly Jacob does for work in Bend, but it still remains a bit of a mystery. He has confirmed that he does work in the marijuana or hemp industry. He has not specified what his job entails or any other details because he does not want his boss following him on social media.

No matter what his job title is, Jacob is sure to live a comfortable life. Celebrity Net Worth estimates he is worth $700 thousand. Despite his wealth, Jacob remains down to earth, expressing his desire to unionize the marijuana/hemp industries.

Jacob and Isabel met as kids; Isabel lived only a few miles from the Roloff family farm, and the duo were teenage sweethearts. After dating for three years, the couple became engaged, and two years later, they married. The couple eloped along the Oregon coast before having a wedding reception for family and friends. Now, Jacob and Isabel will be welcoming a baby boy into their family in December 2021.
