Stefani’s brother introduced her to music

Stefani’s older brother Eric introduced her to 2 Tone music in 1986. He then asked her to provide vocals for a ska band called No Doubt that he was forming. The band struggled to gain recognition for their pop sound since grunge was popular at the time.

However, in the mid-90s, the group began getting noticed after releasing songs such as Don’t Speak and Just A Girl. They continued to see success in the following years with more popular songs such as Its My Life and Hey Baby. They also won numerous awards, including two Grammys.

Following the band’s success, Stefani decided to venture out on her own. In 2004, she recorded and released her first album titled Love. Angel. Music. Baby. Many fans loved the album, and it became certified platinum in various nations. Some of the popular hits in the album include Hollaback Girl and Rich Girl.

In 2006 she released another album, The Sweet Escape. in 2018, Stefani started a Las Vegas concert residency called Just A Girl: Las Vegas, which drew in tens of thousands of fans. The residency ended in 2019.

Stefani also has a clothing line

Stefani has a distinct and unique sense of style, which she has capitalized on in the past few years. After the release and subsequent success of her first album, Stefani launched a clothing line called L.A.M.B, which consisted of accessories and clothes inspired by fashion from places like Guatemala, Jamaica, and Japan.

The following year the songwriter launched a line called Harajuku Lovers, which has found success with her fans due to its uniqueness and affordability. In 2017 Stefani began wearing glasses and released an eyewear line under her L.A.M.B clothing line.

Stefani also did a lipstick collaboration with the makeup brand Urban Decay for various bold shades, including the bold red she is known for rocking.

Stefani is also known for her signature ponytail. When asked about how she achieves the high updo, Stefani joked that the secret lies with her hairdresser. However, she said that she can do it herself since it’s something she’s always done.

Her signature ponytails can be seen in some of her music videos, such as the Just A Girl music video. She has also appeared on stage with the look. The businesswoman noted that ponytails are all about her ability to feel comfortable whenever she has to perform.

According to Insider, Stefani’s colorist dyes the singer’s hair every week using a bleach-free formula he developed specifically for the star. Danilo Dixon, her colorist, said that they got the idea for the formula after doing her hair for the music video for Cool. Seeing how well the look turned out, Dixon decided to develop a high-lift formula for Stefani.
