Butler was born in Houston, Texas. He played basketball at Tyler Junior College before transferring to Marquette University. He was selected with the 30th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls.

The 30-year-old has had an acclaimed NBA career. He has been an All-Star for four seasons and on the NBA All-Star Defensive Team for four seasons. Butler was named the league’s Most Improved Player in 2015.

He was with the Bulls up until 2017. He was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves later that year. In 2018, he was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. In a Summer 2019 offseason deal, he was traded from the 76ers to the Miami Heat, his current team.

According to estimates, Butler’s net worth is $25 million. Per Celebrity Net Worth, his career earnings are over $60 million, not including endorsements.

Butler was originally with Adidas but turned down the endorsement to join Air Jordan. He did so because the Adidas were causing foot problems.

“That’s never happened, whenever I was at Marquette with Jordan or before that, with Nike. So I thought maybe I should go back to that shoe. And then Jordan picked me up,” he said.
