What the Members of NCT 127 Like Most About Each Other

NCT 127 took a friendship test and revealed what they like most about each other.

Over the past couple of weeks, a series of promotional videos featuring the popular K-pop group NCT 127 have appeared on YouTube. In the video segments, NCT 127 played Truth or Dare with Teen Vogue and broke down the lyrics to “Highway to Heaven” with Genius. In a video with Glamour, the members of NCT 127 took a friendship test.

For the friendship test, the members of NCT 127 split up into pairs. Yuta and Mark paired up, Johnny paired up with Jaehyun, Taeyong and Doyoung were partners, and Taeil paired up with Haechan.

For the first exercise of the friendship test, each NCT 127 member talked about their first impression of the member they were paired with.

“When I first met Yuta, it was the summer of 2012, and I remember this precisely because it was the month where I first got into the label as well and he came like a few days after me,” Mark said. “I just knew that he was so nice. You could see it in his eyes.”

“My first impression of Mark was that he was very cute,” Yuta said. “His voice wasn’t as deep as it is now. He was always like ‘brother’ ‘brother’ with his high-pitched voice. That’s the lasting memory that I have.”

The members of NCT 127 are close like a family

After giving their first impressions, both Yuta and Mark said they are now the closest they have ever been.

“I really feel like we’re at our closest yet,” Mark said.

Yuta seconded that opinion, saying, “Right now we are close like family… he also came from another country as a trainee and we went through a lot of hardships together… and we both have an unspoken understanding of each other.”

Johnny told Glamour that he feels Jaehyun will be his friend for life.

“I feel like you have some friends that’ll be with you for a day, a week, a month, but he’s one of those friends that I’ll have for the rest of my life,” Johnny said of Jaehyun.

Doyoung acknowledged that he is very close with Taeyong.

“Our relationship now is very strong. It’s strong and we cherish and love each other,” Doyoung said. “Someone I could cuss a lot around. That’s how close we are.”

Each member gave one another compliments

After telling Glamour about their first impressions compared to their friendships now, the members had to hug each other for one minute. During the exercise, Haechan and Taeil took turns jumping into one another’s arms.

“I’m very used to this,” Haechan said as he hugged Taeil.

Next, the members of NCT 127 gave each other compliments. The sweet exercise revealed what they truly liked the most about their fellow members.

“Whether it’s his personality, his voice, or mentality, it’s all very unique,” Haechan said of Taeil.

“He has a beautiful voice. He is a hilarious comedian. And he’s crazy,” Taeil said about Haechan, causing Haechan to burst out laughing.

Johnny and Jaehyun laughed their way through this exercise, but did manage to give each other genuine compliments.

“Johnny, you are a genuine listener,” Jaehyun said.

During the compliment segment, Taeyong complimented Doyoung’s smile and build, as clothes look great on him and he is built for dancing. Doyoung complimented Taeyong’s passion and stage presence. The members then danced together and took turns doing trust falls, proving who trusts the members the most.
