When Is the Next ‘This Is Us’ Episode? What Happens to Beth?
Viewers want to know when the next episode of This Is Us Season 5 is coming to NBC. Unfortunately, the show hasn’t had a consistent schedule because of COVID-19. Is ‘This Is Us’ on tonight, April 27?
Sadly, This Is Us is not on tonight, April 27, 2021. Season 5 returns on May 11 with episode 14. The last time viewers saw the Pearsons, on April 13, Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown) had a heart-to-heart about race. Although the conversation did not go very well at first, the brothers worked things out.
Kevin admitted that he resented his brother while they grew up together because he was not only bright but Black. Randall also gave the actor insight into what it was like being adopted into an all-white family.
By the end of the episode, things began to change. There was more understanding and listening than ever before.
‘This Is Us’ next episode is about Beth Pearson
When This Is Us returns for the next episode on May 11, 2021, things shift to Randall’s wife, Beth Pearson. The opening scene of the preview for “The Music and the Mirror” begins with young Beth (Akira Akbar) performing Ballet in a music studio mirror. Then the viewers get a glimpse of Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Rebecca. Finally, present-day Randall asks Deja for help.
“Can you do me a favor?” Randall asks Deja (Lyric Ross). “Can you keep an eye on her?”
However, Deja gives Randall advice instead.
“Beth doesn’t need a hero,” Deja replies. “Just be there for her.”
At the end of the preview for This Is Us Season 5 Episode 14, Randall has a worried look on his face. Plus, Beth is putting on a blue blazer in her bedroom, preparing for something.

Although the next episode of This Is Us Season 5 is number 14, there are fewer installments of our beloved show than usual. Every season consists of 18 episodes, until now. The COVID-19 pandemic has made filming very difficult for many TV shows and movies. This Is Us Season 5 finale airs on May 25, 2021, with only episode number 16.

From the This Is Us Season 5 Episode 14 promo, fans believe that something happened with Beth’s dance studio.
“It will be about Beth & her studio and also about Kate & her new job,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “I hope we get a Kate & Madison scene with just the two of them!”
Viewers also wonder if Kate is looking at Madison (Caitlin Thompson) in her wedding dress.
