Where Is Delilah on ‘A Million Little Things’? Stephanie Szostak Hints at Her Return

When A Million Little Things Season 3 began, Delilah Dixon (Stephanie Szostak) wasn’t gone yet. You didn’t just imagine that. She went to the hospital with Katherine Saville (Grace Park) to gather in the waiting room for Eddie Saville (David Giuntoli). The gang was all there except Maggie Bloom (Allison Miller), who was in Oxford. However, within a few episodes, Delilah was gone, and viewers had so many questions. Where is Delilah? When will she return?

What night is ‘A Million Little Things’ on TV?

Although A Million Little Things aired on Thursdays at 10 p.m. for the first half of season 3. However, when the show didn’t return on April 8, 2021, fans were baffled. The series moved to Wednesday evenings at 10 p.m. EST beginning with episode 9, which aired on April 7. The remaining nine episodes of A Million Little Things will air on Wednesdays, since the new series, Rebel, took it’s spot on Thursday nights.

A Million Little Things Season 3 — Where did Delilah go?

When A Million Little Things Season 3 began, Delilah not only went to the hospital to visit Eddie, but she was present for the couple’s vow renewal. In episode 2, viewers could tell something was amiss with Delilah’s father. 

“He thought I was his nurse and not even his favorite one,” she said after hanging up with her dad.

Right before A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 2 ended, Delilah called her dad to ask him to travel to France together. Inspired by her daughter, Sophie (Lizzy Greene), missing her father, Delilah wanted to spend time with her dad before he died. In the next episode, she leaves her two teenagers at home, in the care of Gary Mendez (James Roday Rodriguez).

In A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 5, Delilah was about to travel home with her father when he broke his hip. She decided to stay in France to give him time to heal. Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and countries began closing their borders. 

‘A Million Little Things’ cast: Is Stephanie Szostak coming back, or is Delilah gone for good?

Actor Szostak explained to viewers exactly why Delilah isn’t back on A Million Little Things Season 3 yet in a recent Instagram post.

“Some of you have asked, ‘Is Delilah going to be back on A Million Little Things?'” Szostak began in a video. “Yes, she’s going to be back! The reason that I wasn’t is because of the pandemic. I wasn’t able to go back and forth between where we shoot and where I live and be with my family because there is a quarantine. So, I will be back, though. Thank you for asking and for watching the show.”

According to ABC, Szostak lives outside New York City with her two sons and husband. However, the A Million Little Things cast films the series in Vancouver, Canada. It looks like the series will have her fly back home around the time Szostak can begin filming. 

A Million Little Things airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
