Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry have been keeping a low profile since their move to Canada. Well, as low as members of the royal family can get. Before they announced that they were stepping down as senior members of the royal family and moved out of the UK, pictures of the couple were everywhere. But now, the royal pair are a lot less accessible to the media.

If you’ve missed the Sussexes since Megxit, don’t fret. They will be back in the UK for a number of engagements soon.

The details of Megxit

Earlier this year, Prince Harry and Meghan announced that they wanted to become financially independent and step back from their roles as senior royals. Unfortunately, Queen Elizabeth II determined that there was no way for the two to be financially independent and continue to represent her formally so the pair had to give up their positions as working royals altogether.

Despite the decision being reached weeks ago, a spokesperson for the Sussexes has revealed that the changes actually won’t go into effect until April 1st.

“The Duke and Duchess will be spending their time in both the United Kingdom and North America,” the spokesperson said in a statement obtained by People. “In addition to continuing to work closely with their existing patronages as they build a plan for engagements in the U.K. and the Commonwealth throughout the year, The Duke and Duchess have also been undertaking meetings as part of their ongoing work to establish a new non-profit organization. The details of this new organization will be shared later in the year.”

When will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle be back in the UK?

Before these changes go into effect, Meghan and Harry will go on one last tour of UK events. On Feb.28th, Harry will be at the Invictus Games Choir’s recording session. The following week, the couple will attend the Endeavour Fund Awards. On Mar. 6, Harry will participate in the opening of the immersive museum, the Silverstone Experience. Then the next day, he and Meghan will go to the Mountbatten Music Festival at Royal Albert Hall. On Mar. 8, Meghan will ditch her husband to make an appearance for International Women’s Day. On Mar. 9th, the pair will wrap up their tour by attending the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey with other members of the royal family.

What will happen to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after April 1?

As part of this agreement, Harry and Meghan had to step back from their royal duties, which included Harry’s military appointments. But there are some things that will remain the same.

“In general, the themes of their cause related work will remain unchanged, which includes the Commonwealth, community, youth empowerment, and mental health, collectively,” the spokesperson said.

And in a year, the Queen and her family will revisit this new setup to see if it’s still working for everyone.

“As there is no precedent for this new model of working and eventual financial independence, the Royal Family and The Sussexes have agreed to an initial 12-month review to ensure the arrangement works for all parties,” the spokesperson said.
