Who Are Jimin From BTS’ Parents?

As the K-pop group’s resident “prince charming,” Park Jimin, also known by his stage name “Jimin,” is a singer and dancer. He performs sounds with the other six members, in addition to solo songs like “Filter,” “Serendipity,” and “Lie.”
Sometimes he’s goofy, joking around on The Late Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and nicknaming James Corden Papa Mochi. Sometimes he’s sweet and caring towards the other BTS performers. Fans even suggested Jimin should portray Prince Eric in the live-action adaptation of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.
Before he was a member of the award-winning K-pop group, Jimin was still very artistic and creative. He went to school for contemporary dance, even knowing V before the two joining BTS. In the meantime, his parents owned and operated their own restaurant in Korea.
Who are Jimin’s parents?
Aside from his BTS family, Jimin is a supportive family waiting for him back in Korea. Unlike other BTS members, who often post pictures with their family, there aren’t many pictures of Jimin with his parents. However, they’ve reportedly been very supportive of his journey with BTS.
Amino Apps reports, Jimin is the oldest son in his family. The singer-dancer has one younger brother, named Park Jihyun. It’s unclear how much older Jimin is, but he’s considered a member of the “maknae line” in BTS, meaning he’s one of the younger members.

Fans of BTS aren’t the only ones who expressed concern over Jimin’s weight. According to Amino Apps, and one translation, Jimin said, “I see my face every day so I just think ‘Did my face change a bit?’ but people around me tell me that I’ve lost a lot of weight.”
“My parents worry about me a lot because they only see me a few times a year and ask me if I’m eating properly,” he continued. “I personally feel that I’ve become more handsome after dieting when…. ARMY take nice pictures of me?”
Jimin has, in fact, been pretty open about his unhealthy eating habits and his past extreme dieting. He even shared, according to the website Koreaboo, that he lost consciousness during rehearsals from not eating. However, with the support of the other members and the BTS ARMY, he now practices healthy eating and exercise habits.
