Who Are the Kids From ‘Good Boys’?
It’s not easy being a sixth-grader. Jacob Tremblay, Keith L. Williams, and Brady Noon star in Good Boys, a coming-of-age comedy about three preteens who ditch school and embark on an epically vulgar adventure. The film was directed by Gene Stupnitsky and produced by Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, and Evan Goldberg.
The film was seriously successful at the box office, hitting No. 1 and grossing $21 million over the course of its opening weekend. The world was simply charmed and blown away by Tremblay, Williams, and Noon. So, what do we know about the young lead actors?
Brady Noon plays Thor in Good Boys. Noon was born in Forked River, New Jersey. He made his film debut in Good Boys but launched his acting career in Boardwalk Empire where he played Tommy Darmody.
Noon has a twin brother named Connor, whom he alternated roles with in Boardwalk Empire.
Jacob Tremblay made his film debut in the live-action animated film The Smurfs 2. Tremblay’s breakout performance was in the dark drama Room, a film about a woman and her son who were held captive for seven years and finally find their freedom. Tremblay played Jack, a boy who had no contact with the outside world prior to his rescue from captivity. He starred in Room alongside Brie Larson. Tremblay received critical acclaim for his performance in this role.
Famous for such a serious role, Tremblay reveled in the opportunity to play something a little lighter. He divulged his favorite part of filming in an interview with Vulture:
“My favorite scene would be the paintball scene because we kind of did it in one shot, almost. Everyone was dodging, running under the tables, and the pots and plates were smashing everywhere! And I remember when I was preparing for that, I watched that one scene from the first Matrix, when Neo is shooting the guns and doing the slow-motion flips. You can tell I’m harnessing Keanu Reeves in that one scene.”Vulture
He will be continuing his film career as Flounder in Disney’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid.
Keith L. Williams
Keith L. Williams found fame after being inspired to pursue a career in acting by his older brother. Williams’ career launched after he booked his first commercial audition two months after moving to Los Angeles. He made his film debut in Good Boys but starred in a variety of television shows and shorts before this. He plays the recurring role of Jasper in The Last Man on Earth, starring alongside Will Forte, Kristen Schaal, January Jones, and Mary Steenburgen.
