Who Has Rihanna Dated?

Rihanna is the richest female singer in the world. With a net worth of $600 million, several popular hit singles, and a successful business empire, it’s not surprising that people are always paying attention to Rihanna.

Aside from her career, many fans are also very much interested in her love life. She has dated a few famous faces throughout the years, so let’s take a walk down memory lane and see what Rihanna’s past and present relationships are like.

Shia LaBeouf

After Rihanna became well-known in the mid-2000s, one of her first high-profile relationships was with actor Shia LaBeouf. Technically, perhaps this should not even be called a relationship.

The two were rumored to have been dating in 2007, and LaBeouf confirmed a couple of years later that they indeed dated. However, things did not really work out for them.

“It never got beyond one date,” LaBeouf shared. “The spark wasn’t there. We weren’t passionate about each other in that way, so we remain friends.”

Chris Brown

In 2008, Rihanna was confirmed to be dating fellow singer Chris Brown. This would be one of her most famous relationships so far.

Rihanna and Brown were one of the hottest couples in the music industry at the time because both of them were new artists who had attracted fans with their catchy songs.

Unfortunately, though, their story would not end well. In 2009, the pair made headlines when Brown was arrested for physically abusing Rihanna, and photos even emerged showing bruises on various parts of her body. There were reports that their relationship overall was quite violent.

Yet, Rihanna and Brown would get back together briefly in 2012. Rihanna later said that she was “very protective” of Brown. “I felt that people didn’t understand him. But you know, you realize after a while that in that situation you’re the enemy. In 2010, Rihanna began dating baseball player Matt Kemp. They were together for almost a year, at which point Rihanna shared that she was “so happy” and the relationship was “so easy.”

The pair broke up in late 2010. Rihanna later admitted that she “wanted to make sure I find other things in life that I love — besides love.”

Travis Scott

In 2015, Rihanna dated Travis Scott for about a month. It was a very short relationship; they were spotted hanging out together and kissing several times.

After they broke up, Scott went on tour with Rihanna in 2016, so there was no bad blood between the two stars.

Drake

For years, Rihanna was often rumored to be dating Drake. In 2009 – after she and Chris Brown broke up – Rihanna and Drake were seen kissing in Los Angeles. However, neither ever confirmed what their relationship was until 2013 when Drake told Ellen DeGeneres that he and Rihanna did date for some time.

Rihanna and Drake reportedly got together again in 2016. Neither of them ever confirmed the fact that they had rekindled their romance, but they often put on very sexy performances together and fans saw that they had matching shark tattoos, so for onlookers, it was obvious what was going on. However, she and Drake allegedly broke up in the fall of 2016.

Hassan Jameel

Currently, Rihanna is dating Hassan Jameel, a businessman from Saudi Arabia whose family is worth more than $1 billion. It’s not clear how they met, but the two of them were seen together a few times in 2017 and Rihanna’s father reportedly confirmed to The Sun that her daughter had a new boyfriend.

The couple seems to still be serious about each other. In 2019, sheactually moved to London, where Jameel resides.
