If you’re a sports fans then you probably know exactly who Joe Buck is and have a strong opinion when it comes to what you think of him. The son of the late sportscaster Jack Buck followed in his father’s footsteps by embarking on a career in broadcasting. Today, he is a play-by-play announcer just like his dad, for MLB and NFL games.

While we know we’ll hear Buck’s voice during the World Series or for the NFL’s Game of the Week on Sundays, we don’t know much about his family life even though he’s married to a woman many people recognize.

If Michelle Beisner looks familiar there’s a reason for that. Here’s more on Buck’s wife and where you’ve seen her before.

From NFL cheerleader to Emmy-Award winning NFL reporter

Beisner was born on Oct. 15, 1976, in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from Green Mountain High School before attending Metropolitan State University where she studied communications.

While in college, Beisner became a member of the Denver Broncos cheerleading squad. She was with the team for a total of six years and was the captain for four of those.

“It was the greatest six-plus years of my life,” she told Mile High Sports about her experience being on the sideline.”It made me accountable. It made me respectful. It’s humbled me. It made me a better woman, a better person. There’s a sad and unfortunate misconception that goes along with being an NFL cheerleader. I thoroughly enjoyed week after week, year after year of breaking down that stereotype.”

Nowadays, like her husband, she’s on TV.

In 2006, Beisner began working for NFL Network and was featured on Game Day First, Game Day Morning, NFL Total Access, and NFL Fantasy Live. Then in 2014, she moved to ESPN and is a member of the Monday Night Countdown crew.

She thought Buck was ‘arrogant’ at first

Beisner and Buck were introduced in 2012 through her then-NFL Network colleague Rich Eisen. Beisner’s former co-worker relayed the story to The Ringer in which he told her that someone in the booth wanted her number and she replied, “Please don’t say its’s Joe Buck.”

Beisner later admitted that she told Eisen that because she has a perception of Buck that many viewers have and saw him as “smug and arrogant.” However, once she got to know him, her opinion totally changed.

He’s “the furthest thing from arrogant or smug that any human being could be. I mean, the complete and opposite end of the spectrum,” she explained.

When Beisner and Buck got married and how many children they have

Buck and Beisner tied the knot on April 13, 2014, during a ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, according to TMZ. This is Beisner’s first marriage and Buck’s second. He was previously married to Ann Buck from 1993 to 2011.
