Why Does Chef Adam From ‘Below Deck Sailing’ Prefer Working With Jenna Macgillivray Over Hannah Ferrier?
During the first episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, chef Adam Glick shared that he felt micromanaged under Captain Sandy Yawn from Below Deck Mediterranean.
Glick then shared during the second episode that he preferred working with chief stew Jenna MacGillivray over Hannah Ferrier from Below Deck Med too. In a confessional, he compared the two. “Working with Hannah, working with Jenna is like night and day,” Glick shared.
“Hannah is a cold, long dark night,” he said making a face. “Jenna is like a beautiful morning, with sun and chirping birds. Spring flowers. Night and day.” Viewers wondered why Glick shaded Ferrier. “I hope #BelowDeckSailingYacht producers asked Adam to compare Hannah to Jenna and he didn’t feel compelled to unfairly chuck her under the bus all on his own,” one person tweeted.
What’s going on with Glick?
Last week Yawn shared that she was disappointed that Glick didn’t think she trusted him. In a confessional, he felt Yawn dogged him too much during the season. “So, it feels really good to work for someone that actually trusts the crew,” Glick said about Captain Glenn Shephard. “I guess the big question is if he’ll be able to trust us all season long.”
When he appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, he doubled down on his remarks. A caller asked what was the difference between working for Shephard versus Yawn. “The key difference is that Glenn really allowed me to excel,” he shared. “You know, he just let me go. And he trusted me.”
Yawn expressed that she was saddened to hear that Glick felt that way about her. “Yep…was sad to hear that from Adam,” Yawn tweeted in response to a viewer’s comment. “He got 2 seasons on #BelowDeckMed, one of which was a redemption season. Hope he learned from his BDM experience and brought something special to #BelowDeckSailing. Thanks for your support of BDM!”
Something more may be going on with the chief stew this season
Although this was the second Below Deck Med crew member Glick seemed to shade, there may be more going on when it comes to MacGillivray. When MacGillivray first met Glick she instantly shared that she thought he was cute. He also noted that he liked how she did her job and enjoyed looking at her too. They were also filmed hugging on camera and started the season with a considerable amount of flirting in the galley kitchen. Viewers also see that the two may have hooked up during the second episode.
So could Glick be a little biased? A fan noticed that Glick wouldn’t answer if he was still single when he appeared on WWHL last week. “So I’m guessing Adam wouldn’t give an answer last week on #WWHL regarding his relationship status because he’s NOT single and he’s dating Jenna. Not sure how I feel about that.”
Another person joked about how Glick’s last Below Deck bomance started. “I wonder if Adam and Jenna met in a hotel before the season started but didn’t tell anyone.”
