Here’s Why Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick Will Probably Never Get Back Together
Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick had such a long relationship that it’s hard to believe they won’t someday fall in love with each other once again. The couple had been through a lot before calling it quits for good back in 2015, but since then, some fans have still wondered whether the two will ever get back together. And here’s why they probably won’t.
Kardashian and Disick dated for nearly 10 years
When Keeping Up With the Kardashians first premiered, Kardashian was already in a relationship with Disick. The two had met at a mutual friend’s house party back in 2006, and Kardashian’s family did not approve of Disick. In the earlier seasons of the show, Kardashian’s siblings and mother had a hard time forming a relationship with him, though eventually, the whole family came around and grew to love him. During the course of the couple’s relationship, they had three children together: Mason, Penelope, and Reign. They broke up several times over the years but officially called it quits when Disick was photographed partying with other women (including his ex-girlfriend) on a yacht.
Disick’s drinking problems caused a lot of trouble for the two
Disick clearly had a drinking problem for a lot of the couple’s relationship. And often, he refused to get help, which put stress on things between him and Kardashian. In one particular episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, during Kardashian’s first pregnancy, she was in Miami when Disick had another drinking episode. She gave him an ultimatum to either get his life together or he wouldn’t have a place in their baby’s life. Eventually, Disick did get help for his problems, and he has since recovered from his drinking issues and has had a much better handle on life.
Kardashian had a hard time trusting him
There were often times when Kardashian didn’t know what Disick was up to, where he was, and whether he was drinking. He would attend nightclub events and not communicate with her, and it caused major issues in their relationship. Trust is the foundation of a lasting relationship, and since there were several times when it was absent from theirs, it made it very difficult for them to grow together.
Kardashian won’t forget the way things were when she and Disick dated. The two had plenty of problems, and the reason for their final breakup was because Disick was seen partying with his ex-girlfriend — another example of Kardashian not being able to trust him.
Their relationship appears better than ever now that they aren’t together
Now that Kardashian and Disick aren’t together, their relationship seems better than it has ever been. They trust each other, they get along, and they have become masters at co-parenting. Disick even attends vacations with Kardashian’s family (and Sofia Richie, his girlfriend, has attended, too). Things have been going so well that they likely don’t want to ruin a great thing. It seems they have truly found balance and a genuine love for each other now that they aren’t together, and it’s almost as though this was the peace they were searching for the whole time. For that reason, it’s unlikely the two will ever turn things romantic again.
