For example, NCIS: New Orleans star, Scott Bakula, has an interesting connection to the royals. His daughter is being mistaken for one of Prince Harry’s longtime ex-girlfriends. Here’s what we know.
Prince Harry dated Chelsy Davy for years
If you’ve ever searched for information about Prince Harry’s relationship timeline pre-Meghan Markle, you’ve likely come across one of his ex-girlfriends, Chelsy Davy.
The two met while Davy attended Stowe School in 2004. During the Prince’s gap year, they crossed paths in Cape Town. The on-again-off-again romance lasted until 2010 but their time together was turbulent, at best. The daughter of Zimbabwean millionaire, Charles Davy, publically announced their breakup on social media.
A year later, some speculated the two would reconcile. However, Prince Harry made it clear he was “100 percent single.” Davy was present at Prince William and Catherine Middleton’s wedding in April 2011. She appeared again in May 2018 for Prince William and Markle’s wedding at Windsor Castle.
A source previously told Vanity Fair that Davy and Harry made amends before he proclaimed his vows to Markle.
“It was their final call, a parting call in which they both acknowledged Harry was moving on. Chelsy was quite emotional about it all, she was in tears and almost didn’t go to the wedding,” the source said.
Davy is now with a new mystery man and more content than ever.
“I’m very happy with where I am right now,” Davy recently told Tatler. “I’m happy with everything. I’m doing something in Africa that I’m passionate about and I’m excited for what my vision is and what that will create. Everything is falling into place.’
Some confused Davy with ‘NCIS: New Orleans’ star Scott Bakula’s daughter
In a strange twist, some have mistaken Quantum Leap and NCIS: New Orleans actor Scott Bakula’s daughter — also named Chelsy — for Chelsy Davy.
How could something like this happen? It seems as though a couple of articles mentioned Bakula’s two children, Cody and Chelsy, with his first wife, Krista Neumann. Some also mixed up Bakula’s daughter with his second wife and NOLA co-star, Chelsea Field. The two also have two children together, Wil and Owen.
Once a single article hits the web, others pick up the same information and re-circulate it, true or not. In this instance, Chelsy [Bakula] Gray, has been noted in stories and tweets about her famous father with a photo of Chelsy Davy and Prince Harry.
Gray is not the daughter of Zimbabwean millionaire. She’s not a lawyer. And she doesn’t frequent Cape Town. By the looks of her vague web presence, she owns a store on Etsy and lives a happy life with her husband, Robert Gray.
Her Facebook photos from years ago prove she has not dated Prince Harry, but her famous father has participated in the Malibu Spartan Race with Robert and brother, Wil. That aside, Chelsy Gray looks nothing like Chelsy Davy and there is no correlation.
Chelsy Gray is not a lawyer but has a travel blog
While it may be disappointing news to know Scott Bakula’s daughter does not have royal connections, Gray does lead an adventurous life with Robert. The two run a travel blog, The Outpost Gang, in which they detail their lives on the go in an ”80s camper named, Bodhi.
Among some of the places they’ve traveled are California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. The highlight is their dog, Fay. The “Modern Pioneers” seem to be exactly where they’re meant to be — and it has nothing to do with the royal family.
