Although Kylie Jenner is mostly known for being associated with her famous family as well as her on-and-off boyfriend Travis Scott, the star still has many other people in her life. Most notably, fans are aware that she has a friendship with influencer Stassie Karanikolaou.

There’s no doubt that being friends with a celebrity like Jenner can be difficult, and Karanikolaou has come under criticism several times in the past for being a “Kylie Klone” and not living as her authentic self. Read on below to find out what Karanikolaou has done that makes fans cringe.

Anastasia “Stassie” Karanikolaou was born on June 9, 1997. She is of Greek descent and grew up in California.

Karanikolaou and Jenner have been friends since they were 11 years old. For years now, she has been a part of Jenner’s friend group, which also includes other famous faces like Jaden Smith and Hailey Bieber.

Thanks to her relations to Jenner, Karanikolaou has had a successful career as an influencer. She often goes by the name Stassiebaby online. She has over 500,000 subscribers on YouTube and over 7 million followers on Instagram.

Karanikolaou has done some modeling work as well. Most notably, she is a model for Khloé Kardashian’s brand, Good American.

Fans believe Stassie Karanikolaou has been filling a hole left by Jordyn Woods

In February 2019, Jenner had a falling out with Jordyn Woods after Woods was caught kissing Khloé Kardashian’s then-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson. Woods had previously been considered Jenner’s best friend and the two ladies even lived together. However, it’s clear that after the incident, Woods and the Kardashian-Jenner family no longer got along.

Fans speculate that Karanikolaou then became Jenner’s best friend after Woods left Jenner’s life. Karanikolaou and Jenner started posting more photos of them together on Instagram and even went on vacation with each other.

Of course, Jenner has never revealed that there was any sort of hierarchy among her friends or that Karanikolaou was replacing Woods. It seems that Karanikolaou has simply been there for Jenner since they were young.

In 2015, Jenner gave Karanikolaou a message in a video posted by Vogue. Jenner said: “You’ve been the most consistent and loyal friend in my life, and I feel like, without you, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. Because I wouldn’t be weird anymore. I’d be trying to be normal.”

While we do not really know everything about Karanikolaou and Jenner’s friendship, some fans are not hugely supportive of the two hanging out with each other. For one thing, a number of people think that Karanikolaou has been looking a little too much like Jenner these days.

“All I know of Stassi are those sexual twinning photos she does with Kylie and her body is like a copy of Kylie’s body,” one person said on Reddit. “I find it so weird tbh.”

Meanwhile, another fan commented: “I often wonder if Stassi and Kylie are as close as they say they are or if it’s more of a ‘it’s Kylie Jenner so we do what she wants’ type of thing.”

Something that throws a lot of people off is also the fact that Karanikolaou has a tattoo that says “Stormi,” Jenner’s daughter’s name. Both of them got the tattoo last year, and while it’s understandable for Jenner to have done that, not many fans understand why Karanikolaou did it as well.

“She needs to think for herself and not be a Kylie Klone,” one person wrote. “I love my best friend’s child but I would not get his name tatted.”
