Jessa Duggar comes from a very large family. She is one of 19 children, and her family’s life was showcased on the popular TLC show 19 Kids and Counting. After her older brother Josh Duggar’s sexual abuse scandal came to light, the show was canceled, but TLC went on to create a spinoff focusing on the Duggar children. Today, Duggar is a major part of Counting On.

Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, recently welcomed their third child and first daughter. Will they have more kids?

Duggar and Seewald have welcomed three children in five years

The Duggars have said that they love having such a big family. The kids were homeschooled growing up, and though they knew many people through church and religious activities, they were each other’s best friends. Jana, Jill, Jessa, and Jinger are the four oldest Duggar daughters, and throughout the show, they always remained close. Duggar married Ben Seewald in November 2014, and the two didn’t waste much time starting a family. They recently welcomed their third child, Ivy Jane Seewald, back in May, which means they’ve had three children in the last four and a half years.

The two are confident that they will take however many children God wants for them

Duggar and Seewald are very rooted in their religious values, and they believe that children are an act of God. With that said, the Duggars were raised to not use any form of birth control to prevent pregnancy (of course, premarital sex was out of the question), and none of them believe in abortion. Duggar and Seewald both feel that kids are a gift from God and have said that should God want so many kids for them, they’ll gladly take them. Duggar has the same mindset as her parents.

They’ve talked about adopting down the road

Duggar and Seewald have not only considered having many biological kids, but they’ve also considered adopting. The two reportedly in the process of adopting when Duggar got pregnant with her second child; the adoption plans were put on hold. But Duggar previously said on 19 Kids and Counting that she wants to “adopt a lot” when she gets older. Now that she has three kids of her own, fans have speculated that the two might decide to adopt their next child. Duggar even said at one point that she might end up with more kids than her mother. She didn’t say a specific number of children, but if she chooses to adopt several and doesn’t use any birth control, she’s probably headed for one big happy family.

Duggar is only 26, and the two will likely have more kids

Not only has Duggar said she wants to adopt, but she’s also only 26, which means from a biological perspective, she’s in her prime for having kids. She’s likely very fertile, which means if she and Seewald aren’t preventing pregnancy, another one is almost inevitable. The Duggars don’t typically create timelines for having kids since they believe God decides when it’s time, but it’s likely Duggar and Seewald’s third child won’t be their last.
