The upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise will be different because of timing. But will Peter Weber also be the first bachelor in paradise? An ABC executive gave his opinion on having the pilot back.

Peter Weber is single again after ‘The Bachelor’

Weber’s season had a very messy ending. Madison Prewett quit the show at the last minute leaving Hannah Ann Sluss to be the last one standing. He proposed to her seemingly without telling her this.

He soon ended their engagement on television. Weber later revealed that he started dating Kelley Flanagan. They recently had plans to move in together in the new year, but they revealed they broke up.

“I’m here to share that Kelley and I have decided to go our separate ways,” read part of Weber’s announcement on Instagram. “While our relationship was filled with countless beautiful memories, our relationship simply didn’t work out in the end.”

Flanagan shared her own post about the breakup. “It saddens me to say this but Peter and I have decided to go our separate ways,” read part of her post. “Peter and I had some unbelievable times together and they will definitely be missed. Unfortunately him and I are in two different stages of our lives and saw our future paths differently.”

Kelley Flanagan is open to going to paradise

The former couple’s breakup is really fresh. But Flanagan has already said she’s open to going to paradise.

“Yeah, I’m definitely open to every opportunity that comes my way,” she told People. “Look, I did The Bachelor and I never thought I would be on it. A lot of people knew I was out of my comfort zone being on the show and they would always ask me, ‘Do you regret it?’ I never, ever regret it.”

She also noted that paradise is still months away. That would certainly be interesting to watch, and even more interesting if her ex-boyfriend will be there too.

It has taken longer for Bachelor in Paradise to air. There will also be a bigger pool to choose from given contestants from Weber and Matt James’ season have yet to appear in it.

Weber is also single so there is a chance for a former bachelor star to appear in Mexico for the first time. ABC executive Rob Mills appeared on The Bachelor Recap podcast. The podcast host said maybe he’ll be on Bachelor in Paradise.

“Oh that’s interesting,” Mills said. He later added, “I love that idea. Absolutely, yeah!” The executive said bachelors haven’t appeared on the spinoff before because of timing.

Still the cast hasn’t been confirmed. It’s also hard to say if Weber would be interested in doing the show or if he’s had enough of reality shows. After all, he previously claimed producers heavily influenced his decisions on The Bachelor and confused him.
