The holiday season is pretty magical in New York City, especially for TikTok personality Dixie D’Amelio. In 2021, the artist performed at the Z100 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden, sharing with the audience that she attended the same concert as a fan just a few years prior.

Dixie D’Amelio performed at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in New York City

As Nick Jonas said, there’s truly no place like Madison Square Garden on the night of Jingle Ball. After a hiatus of in-person iHeartRadio performances due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, award-winning artists took to the stage at Madison Square Garden in conjunction with the Z100 Jingle Ball.

That included Ed Sheeran, The Jonas Brothers, AJR, Lil Nas X, and TikTok star Dixie D’Amelio. This was one of the first times D’Amelio performed her original songs live. Because she grew up just outside of New York City, this was an emotional moment for the social media celebrity.

Complete with a black and silver outfit, D’Amelio took to the stage, performing well-known songs like “Be Happy,” “One Whole Day,” and “Psycho.” She danced as well as sang, stopping in between hits to talk to the audience.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been this nervous in my life,” D’Amelio said to the Madison Square Garden audience. This performance was a pretty big milestone for the TikTok star, who previously tackled everything from a Hulu original series to a partnership with Hollister. As a fan of music, this was a concert that she attended as a fan.

“This is an absolute dream,” she said. “Two years ago, I was sitting right over there at Jingle Ball, watching, never thinking I would be on stage. I’m so grateful for everyone here and everyone who loves and supports me, my family especially.”

In fact, D’Amelio said, she had her sister with her. Charli D’Amelio took to the stage, dancing alongside her sister to the holiday song “Naughty List.” Following her performance at the Jingle Ball, D’Amelio took to Instagram, sharing pictures and writing, “WOW… so many tears tonight. [Madision Square Garden] is literally a dream. I love you all.”
