Zayn Malik Says He’s Excited To Bond With His Future Kids Over This Popular Series; ‘I Think It Will Be One of Them That Stays in the Family’
Even though he just welcomed his first child with Gigi Hadid, Zayn Malik already knows what he wants to pass down to his little bundle of joy and any future children he has later down the line.
During a recent interview, the former One Directioner revealed his plans to introduce his love of books to his children. But there’s a particular series he wants his kids to love just as much as he does — and it’s one that’ll prove whether or not he and Hadid will have any muggles in their home.
Zayn Malik is going to ensure his love of Harry Potter books ‘stays in the family’
On Sept. 23, Malik appeared on a video call with ODEntertainment to promote his partnership with mobile game developer Zynga. While discussing his love of video games and fantasy realms, the “PILLOWTALK” singer revealed his plans to introduce one particular wizarding world to his future kids: Harry Potter.
“I’ve always enjoyed Harry Potter,” she said. “I think it was something I’ll introduce to my kids and so on and so on. I think it will be one of them that stays in the family for a very long time.”
Malik, who has a massive Harry Potter–themed tattoo on his leg, is a huge fan of the beloved franchise and even recalled the first time he was introduced to the magical world.
“I think the first time I actually read a Harry Potter book was in school,” he explained. “And at that time, I think I had a very vivid imagination anyway and that kind of just catered to it.”
The singer added, “It just helped me kind of get into that crazy world of the wizards and all that kind of stuff. I always loved it. I’ve always been into that kind of stuff. Anything fantasy, mystical, anything in that route, I’m all about it.”

It appears Malik doesn’t have to wait much longer to start introducing Harry Potter to his children because he and longtime girlfriend Gigi Hadid just welcomed their first child together, a baby girl.
On Sept. 23, the “Dusk Till Dawn” crooner announced on Twitter, “”Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful.”
“To try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task,” the new dad shared, along with a black-and-white photo of the little girl grasping his finger. “The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x.”
Hadid also shared the couple’s exciting news on Instagram, confirming that their baby girl arrived over the weekend.
“Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love🥺💕,” the supermodel captioned a different black-and-white photo of their daughter’s tiny hand wrapped around one of Malik’s fingers.
Hadid first confirmed she was pregnant with Malik’s baby during an Apr. 30 interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.
The following month, a source told Us Weekly that the former One Direction member “couldn’t be more thrilled” to become a parent alongside Hadid.
“Zayn has always been so into Gigi and she’s always been such a big part of his life,” the insider shared. “Even when there were times that they weren’t a couple, the love was still very much there.”
Now that their little girl is here, it’s clear that Malik and Hadid are head over heels in love and can’t wait to experience life with their little bundle of joy.
