Zendaya is brave, and Timothée Chalamet is ambitious. When the stars of the Dune movie revealed their Harry Potter Hogwarts houses, most fans weren’t surprised. Here’s what these two said about their love for the Harry Potter movies and their respective Hogwarts Houses.
Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet starred in the 2021 movie ‘Dune’
As one of the biggest theatrical releases in 2021, Zendaya and Chalamet starred in the original production Dune. Based on the book series of the same title, the Dune cast included award-winning actors like Oscar Isaac, Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista, and Rebecca Ferguson.
In this film, Chalamet (known for roles in Little Women and Lady Bird) starred as the main character, Paul Atreides, a gifted young man tasked with traveling to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people.
Outside of their work with Dune, these actors often share their love for other productions. Zendaya revealed two of her favorite Disney princesses, while Chalamet sported a Harry Potter-themed sweater during one video.
Timothée Chalamet revealed his Hogwarts house by wearing a Slytherin sweater during an interview
In conjunction with Dune, Chalamet and Zendaya appeared alongside each other, answering questions about their characters and even their fashion choices. In one video, Chalamet appeared in a green zip-up with a Slytherin symbol.
“This is a Slytherin sweater from the Harry Potter Museum,” Chalamet said during an interview with ET Online.
“I got one there, too,” Zendaya said. “Gryffindor, though. It’s not the zip-up one — the pullover.”
The houses they referred to appeared throughout the Harry Potter book and movie series, with Gryffindor being the house of characters like Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley. The Slytherin House aligns closely with characters like Draco Malfoy.

As an Emmy Award-winning actor, Zendaya often has several projects up her sleeve. This year includes the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, while some HBO subscribers look forward to the premiere of Euphoria season 2 in 2022.
Outside of her career, Zendaya is a huge fan of these movies starring Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe. The Dune actor shared that she watches one Harry Potter movie per day to relax.
“Yeah, I haven’t done that much this year, but I watched them to tackle the whole first season of Euphoria,” Zendaya said, according to Italy 24 News. “Sometimes I just want to go home, snuggle up with my dog and watch some Harry Potter. And then I love Shrek, he’s another obsession in my house when I face hard days at work.”
Zendaya even visited The Wizarding World of Harry Potter for her birthday. She posted pictures of her Butterbeer and the magical ambiance.
