Here’s How Kim, Khloe, and the Rest of the Kardashians Really Make Their Money

The Kardashians and Jenners seem to be everywhere these days. They’re on television, covered in the latest gossip blogs, and anywhere else you could imagine. They seem to be living the good life, but how exactly do they afford such a lavish lifestyle?

We’ll tell you how Kim, Khloe, and the rest of the Kardashians and Jenners make their money.

Khloe Kardashian

In 2016 Khloe started the Good American clothing line. The focus of the brand is to offer a wide range of sizes for all body types. Shoppers were so excited about the clothing line that it sold $1 million in jeans on the first day. Khloe also has her own app. In 2015 she wrote a book titled Strong Looks Better Naked, which became a New York Times bestseller.

In addition, Khloe earns money from Keeping Up with the Kardashians. In Touch reports she makes roughly $500,000 per episode. She has also starred in several spin-offs of the show including Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, and Khloe & Lamar. She also hosted one season of The X Factor and executive produced Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian.

Kris Jenner

Kris Jenner is the manager of the Kardashian-Jenner brand. In 2015, she earned roughly $20 million from Keeping Up with the Kardashians, according to the Mirror. She is also a manager and publicist for all six of her children. In 2010, Kris inked an endorsement deal with Sketchers Shape-Ups. That same year, she released Kardashian-branded lollipops with Sugar Factory (the candy cost a whopping $25 per lollipop).

Kris also earns money from the sale of her 2011 memoir, Kris Jenner… and All Things Kardashian. The book became a New York Times bestseller. That same year, she and her daughters launched the Kardashian Kollection for Sears. The following year, Kris became an executive producer on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and its spinoffs. In addition, she launched her production company, Jenner Communications.

Kourtney has appeared in several spinoff shows, including Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons, and Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami. She also executive produced Dash Dolls, which is a reality series based in the Kardashians’ Dash boutique. In 2015, Kourtney earned roughly $10 million from Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Kim is one of the most successful of the Kardashian-Jenner family. Some of her earnings are from Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Kim earns roughly $15 million from the show, according to the U.K.’s Mirror. In addition, she reportedly receives a $5 million bonus each time her husband, Kanye West, makes an appearance on the show.

Kim also earns money from acting. She appeared in a few episodes of the television series “Drop Dead Diva,” and Tyler Perry’s movie Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor. Appearance fees are another way Kim pads her bank account. In 2014, she was paid $500,000 to attend the Vienna Annual Opera Ball as the guest of billionaire businessman Richard Lugner. In addition, she has several businesses, including a beauty line, clothing line, mobile app, and mobile game. Forbes reports her mobile game, “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood,” generated $71.8 million in revenue in 2015.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner has had a successful modeling career. In 2017, Forbes reported she was the highest paid model in the world, beating out supermodel Gisele Bundchen. Deals with Estée Lauder, La Perla, Adidas, and more led to $22 million in earnings that year. In 2015, Kendall earned roughly $10 million from Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner makes much of her earnings from her company Kylie Cosmetics. Her lip kits, which go for $29, sold out within less than 10 minutes of going on sale, reports Elle. Money Nation, estimates Kylie made $8.7 million from her branded merchandise. Kylie Cosmetics is projected to be worth $1 billion by 2022, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

Endorsement deals

The Kardashians and Jenners also make money from product endorsement deals. They can be seen promoting beauty, fashion, health products and more. According to US Weekly, Kim is paid up to $500,000 per company to promote products on Instagram. Kourtney and Khloe reportedly make up to  $250,000 for each promotion on Instagram. One favorite product among the sisters is a hair vitamin called Sugar Bear Hair.

Joint ventures

The Kardashian-Jenner family also makes money by working on joint projects. Kendall and her sister Kylie launched a T-Shirt line in 2017 for their brand Kendall + Kylie. Kendall and Kylie also partnered with PacSun to develop a clothing line.

In 2006, Khloe, Kourtney, and Kim started the Dash clothing and accessory line. Other joint ventures include Kardashian Glow and Kardashian Beauty. They also released a book titled Kardashian Konfidential and Dollhouse: A Novel. Dollhouse went on to become a New York Times bestseller.
