The Love Island USA islanders have left the villa and returned home, where they will all discover a considerable change to their Instagram accounts. Naturally, their appearances on the popular dating show have brought them a greater deal of exposure, even those who sparked controversy in their time on the show. One contestant has seen the greatest jump in Instagram followers of all, though.

A ‘Love Island USA’ islander had a gigantic increase in Instagram followers

The seventh season of Love Island USA premiered on Jun 3, 2025. From that point until July 14, the morning after the finale, many of the islanders saw an enormous jump in their Instagram followers. The team at Spin Genie found that some islanders, like Austin Shepard, Olandria Carthen, and Nicolas Van Steenberghe, saw an over 3,000% jump in their Instagram followers.

While this is a tremendous jump, Jeremiah Brown saw a greater percent increase in followers. The model’s relationship with contestant Huda Mustafa sparked a great deal of online discourse, and he left the island on day 16. On the first episode of the show, he had 12.4k followers and, by the end, he had 747K. This was a 5924% increase.

Brown does not have the most followers of all the contestants, though. Mustafa has the most with 2.8 million at the end of the season.

Jeremiah Brown said he has some regrets about his time on ‘Love Island USA’

Brown and Mustafa had a rocky relationship, and he said he has some regrets about it. He thinks they rushed into things and had sex too quickly.

“That definitely — we skipped a lot of steps, and threw us into, or threw her headspace into a relationship, and I was just trying to enjoy being coupled up,” he told People.

He wished he had pushed to slow things down quickly.

“I was just kind of doing too much, too soon, because I really liked her, and I was like, ‘Okay, you know what? She deserves this, for lack of better words, so let me go try to do all the things.'”

He admits that he messed up and wishes he had spoken to Mustafah about this sooner. Their relationship grew volatile, and Brown said the final straw came when she shouted at him in front of the villa.

Here’s what’s next for Jeremiah Brown after the show

Now that Brown is off the show, he has started a book club for himself and his TikTok followers.

“Somebody said, you should start a book club, and I was like, oh my gosh, lightbulb,” Brown told The New York Times. “The second I read this idea, I was like yeah, we got to do this.”

Their first book is Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. He likes to read and looks forward to building a community around books.

“It feels like something that we could have that’s more than just content on TikTok,” he said. “It was something I could build and have a community around.”

Brown said he has appreciated the love he has felt from his followers after exiting the villa.
