A Second Death Rocks ‘Finding Prince Charming’ Cast; Jasen Kaplan Dies on New Year’s Eve
The reality TV world is mourning the loss of Jasen Kaplan, a former contestant on Finding Prince Charming and a makeup artist to the stars. Kaplan is best known by fans for his appearance on the short-lived dating show, but reality TV stars, including Bethenny Frankel and Kelly Osbourne, knew him as a makeup artist with a magic touch. Both stars paid tribute to Jasen Kaplan in the hours after his death was announced. He wasn’t the only contestant from Finding Prince Charming to die this month, though.
Jasen Kaplan of ‘Finding Prince Charming’ dies suddenly
Jasen Kaplan’s death has shocked reality TV fans and stars. The reality TV star and makeup artist died in a New York City hospital on December 31, according to TMZ. While details of his death remain sparse, police are reportedly investigating a death at the home of Kaplan. Page Six spoke with the NYPD, which confirmed an ongoing investigation, but provided no further details. Kaplan resided in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan. His home was occasionally featured in his social media uploads.
Kaplan last posted to Instagram on December 17. In the Reel, Kaplan called out Jackie Goldschneider for calling him antisemitic. Goldschneider has not commented on Kaplan’s accusations or his recent death. Several Bravo stars, however, have taken to social media to pay tribute to the artist.
Chad Spodick died earlier this month
Kaplan’s mysterious death isn’t the first that the cast of Finding Prince Charming dealt with in the lead-up to the New Year. In early December, Chad Spodick died. Spodick, who appeared on the show’s only season alongside Kaplen, died by suicide on December 3.
Spodick, a flight attendant and real estate agent, made it to the final rounds of Finding Prince Charming but self-eliminated from the series. IN the years since, he spent his time in Boca Raton, serving as a real estate agent and content creator. Spodick died in Boca Raton at the age of 42. There was an outpouring of love from fans at the time of his death.
