A TiKToker Thinks D4vd is Talking to Discord as Murder Investigation Looms
Tiktoker-turned-musician, D4vd, has been keeping an insanely low profile since the body of a teenage girl was found in the trunk of his Tesla. He hasn’t spoken publicly since the discovery. He’s gone even deeper underground since being named a suspect in the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. A TikToker has suggested D4vd might not be as quiet as followers think, even with an ongoing murder investigation. While his public-facing profiles are dormant, he might be chatting on Discord under another name.
D4vd is a suspect in the death of a teenage girl
In September 2025, the LAPD discovered the body of a teenage girl inside the trunk of a Tesla that was registered to singer D4vd. The R&B artist was on tour at the time. He did not pause the tour to handle the very disturbing discovery. Instead, he was said to be working with authorities as they tried to piece together what happened.
Weeks later, they were able to identify the remains as belonging to a teen girl, Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The 14-year-old had gone missing from her home a year prior. According to several sources, D4vd stopped cooperating with authorities almost immediately. He canceled the tour and moved to an undisclosed location. The LAPD raided the home he was renting. Still, they did not name him as a suspect until December 2025. He has remained quiet, at least publicly, ever since.
A TikToker thinks D4vd might be communicating online
In the months since police discovered the body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, D4vd has been incredibly quiet online. At least, that’s the way it appears on the surface. A TikToker who focuses on true crime thinks that might not actually be true. Matt Thibodeau took to TikTok to share a discovery he made. In a video posted on January 13, the content creator claims to have discovered a small, private Discord where D4vd’s remaining fans are chatting about him and the case.
According to Thibodeau, D4vd, or someone masquerading as the artist, is active on the Discord server and sharing some telling information. In one exchange, the person believed to be D4vd proclaims his innocence and even tries to place blame for the possible murder on his manager.
Matt Thibodeau argues that it’s unclear whether D4vd is actually on the Discord server. All that is known is that someone using a similar username is posting as the singer. While there are plenty of questions, it would seem on-brand for him. Long before the discovery of Rivas Hernandez’s body, the “Romantic Homocide” singer spent plenty of time on Discord connecting with his fans. He also served as the moderator of a subreddit dedicated to his music. D4vd was very connected to his online fans. While he can’t do so publicly now, it makes sense that he may look for a workaround, even if it means posting to a very small group.
The public is frustrated with the lack of movement in the case.
While D4vd still has some fans who seem to believe in his innocence, most people associated with the singer have taken a step back from him since the discovery of Rivas Hernandez’s body. Several brands removed ad campaigns featuring the singer, and friends and collaborators dropped him from social media. His record label has also suspended all promotional activities for the artist. Still, an arrest has not come.
According to various reports, police have honed in on D4vd and, possibly, another individual as suspects in the death of the teen, but a grand jury has not yet finished meeting to discuss the case. While those who have followed the story since the beginning are frustrated with the lack of movement, a grand jury can spend weeks or months combing over the evidence presented. The amount of time it is taking to arrest someone in connection with the crime isn’t actually all that out of the ordinary.
This is a developing story.
