All About Washington Commanders Receiver Terry McLaurin’s Wife Caitlin Winfrey and Their Lavish Beach Wedding
During the 2025-26 NFL offseason, Washington Commanders wideout Terry McLaurin got married.
McLaurin wed Caitlin Winfrey, who is his high school sweetheart. They met when they both attended Cathedral High School in Indianapolis. But they didn’t start popping up on each other’s social media pages until March 2022, when the football player posted a sweet tribute to Winfrey on her birthday, writing, “Happy birthday Love, I’m truly thankful for you and the role you’ve played in my life. Simply put, I’m better because of you. I pray that this year you receive everything you deserve and that God blesses you beyond your biggest dreams. I love you.”
There isn’t a ton of information available about Winfrey, but it’s been reported that she attended Indiana University and graduated with a nursing degree.

In December 2023, McLaurin proposed to Winfrey at The Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory in Florida. The athlete then shared the happy news in a series of photos via Instagram with the caption, “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with the person who has my heart. Caitlin, I thank God for granting me favor and bringing our journeys together. I am so excited to see what he has in store for us as we navigate this life hand and hand. Home is wherever you are and I’m at my best when I’m with you. I love you.”
In one photo, McLaurin can be seen down on one knee with Winfrey by the conservatory garden. In another snap, the two are shown exiting a small boat as they arrive at a beach with the sun setting in the background, and in another Winfrey is smiling as she proudly shows off her ring.
According to Ritani, Winfrey’s sparkler is an “oval-cut diamond, estimated to be between 5 and 7 carats on a French-set diamond-covered band.” The publication noted that oval-cut engagement rings have seen a surge in popularity recently “since oval-cut diamonds show more of their surface area than round-cut diamonds, they appear larger than their actual carat size, and due to their elongated silhouette, they have a lengthening and slimming effect on the wearer’s fingers.”
On Feb. 15, 2026, the two had a stunning beach wedding at Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort, Los Cabos in Mexico.
“Our vision was for our wedding to be like a big family reunion filled with once-in-a-lifetime experiences that would create memories to last a lifetime,” Winfrey told People.
McLaurin wore a custom black tuxedo designed by Chris Fields with a black satin Tom Ford bowtie, while the bride donned Verdin Bridal New York’s Rosalie dress, featuring lace detailing and a cathedral train.
“I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, but I know I wanted to look timeless,” she explained. “I fell in love with my dress because it made me feel dreamy, feminine, and romantic and the floral lace appliqué detailing resembled my favorite [flower], baby’s breath.”
