Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Seen in Public Near His Home for First Time Since His Arrest
After hiding inside his Sandringham home for weeks following his arrest for suspicion of misconduct in public office, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been spotted in public.
Following reports that the disgraced royal wouldn’t even leave his temporary Sandringham residence to walk the late Queen Elizabeth’s corgis, Andrew was seen near the property walking Muick and Sandy on March 21, according to The Mirror. It was previously thought that Andrew was told not to leave the Wood Farm property, as seeing him out and about amid the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein scandal wasn’t “a good look.”
Andrew took in the dogs after his mother’s death. At that time, he still lived at Royal Lodge with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, who posted about caring for the canines on her social media accounts.
Now it’s being reported that Sarah was looking to clone the corgis for a reality show in which she would sell the clones to “other dog lovers around the world.” She had met with a number of TV companies and Hollywood producers in the U.S. to pitch the idea.
A source familiar with those negotiations told the Daily Mail that the former Duchess of York “was pushing to get back into TV and make some money. She came up with the idea of featuring the queen’s corgis in a show. And that included the idea of breeding them. Bizarre as it sounds, the idea of cloning them was discussed.”
As for Andrew, he has denied any wrongdoing regarding his relationship with Epstein, but has not made any public comments since his arrest.
