Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Skipped Daughter Princess Eugenie’s Birthday to Stay at Jeffrey Epstein’s Mansion
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s longtime association with Jeffrey Epstein is what caused his fall from grace. While he has always denied the allegations against him, the public outcry over the years for him to be stripped of his regal titles and royal perks were too loud to ignore. His connection with the late convicted sex offender was also too much for his daughter to ignore.
Andrew’s youngest daughter, Princess Eugenie, co-founded the Anti-Slavery Collective in 2017 to help combat sex trafficking, which is the exact crime Epstein was convicted of. Eugenie’s father’s name being attached to Epstein and his victims as well as the former duke’s refusal to apologize to the victims, is what reportedly led to the princess’s decision to cut ties with Andrew.
Now, it’s being reported that at one point, Andrew actually chose Epstein over his family by skipping one of Eugenie’s birthdays to stay at Epstein’s home.
Andrew stayed at Epstein’s beach house instead of being with Eugenie on her birthday
In 2001, Princess Eugenie celebrated her birthday with her mother, Sarah Ferguson, and sister, Princess Beatrice, in Disneyland Paris. Photos of the three were shared publicly at the time, with many questioning where Andrew was.
According to Andrew Lownie, author of the book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, Andrew skipped out on Eugenie’s 11th birthday party at the theme park so he could hang out at Epstein’s beach house in Florida that day instead.
Lownie told the Daily Mail that Andrew chose not to join the family for his daughter’s party after spending three days with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
Lownie added that Fergie and others believed that Andrew’s “friendship with Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein had become really dangerous” and that Sarah was starting to feel “jealousy that she had lost her influence over Andrew.” She also had a “growing concern about the company her ex-husband was keeping and how it was impacting her own reputation – and money-making opportunities in America.”
Years later, Eugenie had another Disney-themed birthday. When she turned 25, she had a star-studded party in which she dressed up as Snow White and had guests dress up as other famous characters. Kate Middleton’s brother, James, attended and dressed up as the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland, Princess Beatrice dressed as the Little Mermaid, and George Frost was painted head to toe in blue as the genie from Aladdin. Eugenie’s father did make that party as he showed up wearing a Prince Charming costume.
Princess Eugenie’s relationship with Andrew has now reached ‘Brooklyn-Beckham’ level
When the news broke that Princess Eugenie was no longer speaking to her father, some wondered if that was reported so she doesn’t face criticism and she still has contact with him privately.
A source told the Daily Mail: “There is no contact at all, nothing. It’s Brooklyn Beckham level — she has completely cut him off.”
A friend of the princess’s also acknowledged Eugenie’s estrangement from her dad but doesn’t believe it will last forever, telling the publication, “Andrew’s main concern is that his daughters are not tainted by his difficulties, so he is keeping his distance from them. Bea and Eug feel very sorry for their parents … Both Andrew and Sarah want their daughters to remain part of the royal family and were happy for them to spend Christmas in Norfolk.”
