Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s friendship and ties to Jeffrey Epstein pushed the former prince into royal exile. And now his past association with the convicted sex offender is affecting the lives of his two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

After years of allegations and the public outcry growing louder, King Charles stripped his brother of his remaining royal titles in October 2025. It was also announced then that the disgraced royal was being evicted from his longtime Windsor home.

The statement from Buckingham Palace at the time read: “His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew. Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.

“These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him. Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”

Within a few months, Andrew moved to Sandringham and currently resides at Wood Farm. But back in London, the fate of his daughters and their London residences are now in limbo.

Princess Beatrice lives in the Cotswolds with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and their children, but still maintains an apartment at St. James Palace in London. And Princess Eugenie, her husband Jack Brooksbank, and their children split their time between a CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club property in Portugal and Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace in London.

According to an insider who spoke to Closer, the London homes of the princesses are now being reconsidered and are currently “under review.” The alleged “review” is one that Prince William and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) reportedly pushed for.

“Things have changed. The Waleses are very aware of perception, and having the York family based so close to their official residence at Kensington Palace is not something they’re entirely comfortable with,” the insider claimed.

Beatrice and Eugenie should not have to pay for the sins of their parents but that fact remains that from now on, every time the sisters are seen anywhere near the royal family, people will be reminded of their father’s scandal. That’s something other royals do not want and damage the monarchy can’t afford. The choice with Andrew has been made — out of sight, out of mind. So will that be the case with his daughters as well?

There are reports that the princesses will be banned from attending some upcoming family events. But outside of that, it’s not clear if King Charles has any other plans regarding Beatrice and Eugenie. The Prince of Wales on the other hand is said to be taking a “hard line” when he ascends the throne. According to Richard Fitzwilliams of the Daily Mail, Prince William has the support of the rest of his family if he has to oust the princesses to save the monarchy.
