In recent days, while the former prince maintains a low profile, insiders are talking. Apparently, the disgraced royal had a bit of an odd obsession with teddy bears, seemingly hoarding them inside his home. He even had a ritual around their care, a former maid claims. Apparently, though, they weren’t special enough to take along for his new journey. Andrew has seemingly abandoned his bear collection as he attempts to collect himself in Norfolk. They have been placed in storage.

While he reportedly left the property with a van full of belongings, one very important collection was left behind. According to The Daily Mail, the former prince has abandoned his large teddy bear collection. Reportedly, Andrew has no room for them in his new home.
The outlet notes that Andrew’s home once housed 60+ teddy bears he had collected over the years, but he left them behind while he figures out his next move. They, along with many of his other belongings, have been placed in storage. Right now, it appears he thinks his new digs at the family’s Sandringham Estate are just temporary. The ex-prince is rumored to be eying a move to Bahrain right now. For now, though, the allegedly haunted home will have to do. While he’s there, he took one comfort teddy while packing the others away. He’s said to be upset that he doesn’t have his collection with him.

A former maid has recently spoken out, insisting that the bear collection was near and dear to Andrew’s heart. She says that he even had a creepy “ritual” he expected to be carried out with the bears.
The maid, Charlotte Briggs, once sat down with the Sun to discuss her former employment and the responsibilities placed on her during her tenure. She claimed she was specifically trained to care for Andrew’s plushie collection. Briggs said there was a full day of training on the bears alone, as the former prince was “particular” about how they were kept and arranged. She noted that while most of the bears were dressed as sailors, he still had “favorites” that sat on “thrones” on each side of his bed. The rest were arranged in size order on his bed each and every day.
