WNBA star Angel Reese isn’t just hopeful that her on-the-court skills will keep her name relevant in the sports world. She’s forging a path in the fashion and shoe game, too. Angel Reese is set to debut her signature sneaker in collaboration with Reebok, and she has high hopes for the project. Reese wants people to adopt her sneakers as streetwear, just like they have done with Jordans. That is a lot of hype to live up to.

Angel Reese’s first signature sneaker has not been released to the public just yet. But the WNBA star is optimistic that they’ll be popular when they finally do hit the shelves. In fact, she has high hopes that people will line up for the shoes and adopt not only the Reese 1, but Reebok as a whole. During a chat with Elle, Reese discussed her hopes for the sneaker line. She even made a bold prediction about Reebok’s future.

She told the publication, “People are going to be wearing Reebok everywhere, just like how they wear Jordans everywhere.” Reese went on to reveal what she’s hoping for with her release. She said, “ I want people to wear the Angel Reese 1s everywhere and just to be a household name, to have no limits on what I can do and what I can accomplish.”

Comparing her upcoming shoe to the Jordan line is certainly bold. The line, which debuted in the ’80s, is the most iconic sneaker line in history. Nike has sold well over 100 million pairs of the beloved kicks, and shoe enthusiasts still search high and low for new colorways. Reese has a long way to go to reach that level of success in the sneaker world, but it’s certainly possible.

Everything you need to know about the Reese 1 release

Fans hoping to get their hands on Angel Reese’s first signature sneaker don’t have much longer to wait. While the concept debuted in July, Reebok will officially release the shoes for sale this fall. A global release is planned for September 18, 2025. The shoes will be available for purchase on Reebok’s website and select retailers.

According to Sole Retriever, the Reese 1’s initial drop will have three colorways. Diamond Dust is a pearl white offering. Receipt Ready is a black, white, and red colorway that offers sharp contrast. The Mebounds are expected to be the release’s best sellers. The two-toned pink kicks exude a distinctly feminine vibe while maintaining their sleek overall design. The shoes will retail for $120.
