Angelina Jolie Has ‘Pretty Much Been a Single Mom’ Since Brad Pitt Divorce

In the years since Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce, she has reportedly focused on being a good mom. The couple shares six children and have been at odds since their relationship ended. Because Pitt reportedly has little contact with his older children, a source said Jolie is primarily a single mother.

Jolie and Pitt finalized their divorce in 2024, eight years after they separated in 2016. In the years since they parted ways, Jolie has reportedly not dated much. She is focused on her children and her career.

“Angie has been extremely busy and focused for the past few years. Dating hasn’t been important to her. She hasn’t had a boyfriend,” a source told People. “She’s pretty much been a single mom since the divorce, so that’s where most of her focus has been.”

Jolie reportedly has a close relationship with her children. 

“She loves being a mom and always wants to make sure that everyone thrives,” the source added. “She seems to be doing great.”

Jolie is also spending much more time with the children than Pitt. Several of their children have also dropped “Pitt” from their last name. 

“He has virtually no contact with the adult kids,” a source told People. “His engagement with the younger kids is more limited in recent months because of his filming schedule.”

Jolie and Pitt separated just days after he allegedly behaved violently towards her and their children on a flight. She declined to press charges at the time, but filed for divorce shortly after.
