Anna Duggar Has Tossed The Duggar Family Dress Code for Her Own Daughters After Josh Duggar’s Conviction
Anna Duggar has slipped out of the spotlight in the year since her disgraced husband, Josh Duggar, was found guilty of possessing and receiving child pornography. While she briefly tried to remain relevant, she’s spent the last few years completely out of the limelight. She’s still keeping herself hidden, but she doesn’t seem to mind featuring her kids on social media if it means she’ll sell a couple of puppies. Anna has a dog breeding business and is using her kids to market the dogs on Instagram. The most recent litter pictures have also revealed one important fact about how Josh Duggar’s kids are being raised. Anna has ditched the Duggar family’s strict dress code for her own kids since Josh is no longer in the picture.
Anna Duggar drops the Duggar family’s modest dress code
As the years pass, fewer and fewer members of the Duggar family adhere to their strict dress code. First, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s married daughters ditched the skirts. Jill and Jinger took it a steep further with shorts. Several of the Duggar daughters-in-law soon followed. Then-unmarried Jana Duggar said no thanks to the strict skirts-only policy a few years after that.
Anna Duggar seemed to be one of the last holdouts. She was wearing only skirts while her husband lived at home, but she’s clearly loosened up the rules. Anna transitioned into wearing pants at some point, and now she’s allowing her daughters to do the same.
Josh and Anna Duggar’s eldest daughter, Mackynzie Duggar, resurfaced on Instagram for the first time in years. Now a teen, Mackynzie is seen in a video upload cuddling an adorable golden retriever puppy while wearing a pair of denim shorts. A different upload shows one of Josh and Anna’s younger daughters also forgoing the “skirts only” rule.
Before his arrest and conviction, Josh and Anna welcomed seven children together. They were the most strict adherents to the Duggar family’s way of life. Their youngest daughter, Madyson Duggar, was born just weeks before Josh’s conviction. They announced the pregnancy just one week before his arrest. Their eldest daughter, Mackynzie, was born in 2009. They are also parents to Meredith, Maryella, Michael, Marcus, and Mason. Their second-oldest child, Michael, turned 14 in June.
The recent photos also seem to prove Anna is living in a separate home
For years, Anna Duggar and Josh Duggar lived inside a warehouse on the Duggar family property. The duo sold their own farmhouse in 2019 and were renovating a property the family owned when Josh was arrested for possessing and receiving child pornography. As the trial date drew near, they unloaded the home and the land. When he was convicted, it seemed like Anna was staying put with the Duggars.
Earlier this year, that apparently changed. After Jim Bob Duggar sold a large parcel of land for millions, he purchased a $1 million home with a barn and plenty of acreage. Rumors swirled that the property was purchased for Anna and her seven children. Still, there was no proof, until now. The puppy photoshoots appear to be taken in a new home and in new outdoor surroundings, lending credence to the theory that Jim Bob gifted them a very nice home. Considering the very nice home she’s apparently calling home, we assume Anna Duggar ran her plan to let her daughters wear pants past Jim Bob.
