Bella Hadid and Adan Banuelos’ Breakup Could Get Messy Over Million-Dollar Horses
Bella Hadid and Adan Banuelos recently ended their two-year relationship. Hadid was reportedly heartbroken by the split, but their busy schedules made their romance difficult. The breakup could get even more complicated due to their business dealings. The couple reportedly owns horses together.

A source told Us Weekly that Hadid and Banuelos ended their relationship “after the holidays.” Cracks in their relationship began to appear because they “both had busy schedules and were long-distance.” Hadid has modeling jobs, a new acting gig in the show Beauty, and a perfume brand. Banuelos is an equestrian.
“They also realized they had differing opinions and values about life and their future. There was a lot that was putting strain on the relationship,” the insider said. “Adan really wanted her to be in Texas with him, but Bella was ready to spread her wings again and take on more work in Los Angeles and New York.”
After her breakup, a heartbroken Hadid took a trip to the Virgin Islands to recuperate.
“It was the perfect escape for her. She’s been really heartbroken and thought Adan was The One,” the source said. “Her girlfriends and her family have been lifting her up in the last few weeks.”
While Hadid reportedly feels better after her vacation and throwing herself into work, complications could arise in the split. Page Six reports that the couple owns several million-dollar horses together. At this point, it’s not clear how they will navigate the ownership of the horses.

Hadid and Banuelos kept their relationship relatively private. Still, Hadid opened up about the start of their relationship. She met him while she was living in Texas.
“I’m with my stepdad,” she told British Vogue. “We move cows, we’re on trail rides, and I’m starting to feel a little better, but just still dealing with my own stuff. Then, the next day, I meet my boyfriend.”
They met at a horse show in town.
“I saw him walk in and it was like a gust of fresh air,” she said. “So he basically came in, walked into the exhibit hall, which is where we do all of the show stuff. I was getting a cowboy hat fitted. I just saw him and I was like that’s the…”
She joked that she’d always wanted to date a cowboy.
“And he’s pretty gorgeous, let me tell you something,” she said.
Who did she date before him?
Before her relationship with Banuelos, Hadid dated Marc Kalman, an art director, between 2021 and 2023. One of her most notable relationships was with the Weeknd. They dated on and off between 2015 and 2019. Hadid said their first split was her first-ever heartbreak.
“It was my first breakup … and so public,” Hadid told Teen Vogue. “As an outsider, you might think I handled it so well, but it’s always in your heart, and you always feel it very heavily. It’ll be hard for a while. Love hurts, but you have to pull through.”
