Ben Affleck’s $60 Million Gift to Jennifer Lopez Hints the Exes Are on Good Terms
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have been trying to sell their $60 million home since 2024. They bought the house in 2023 and put it on the market shortly before Lopez filed for divorce. They have struggled to sell the property, and Affleck recently relinquished his share of the home. This hints that they are on good terms following their split.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez entered a new chapter in their attempts to sell their home
Lopez and Affleck bought their 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom home in 2023, shortly after their wedding. They listed the property for $68 million in 2024 and have repeatedly lowered the price as they struggle to find buyers.
Court documents obtained by TMZ show a “transfer of property among spouses.” The updated terms say that Lopez “shall be solely responsible for all expenses [associated] with any future sale of her interest in the Wallingford Residence, including but not limited to broker’s commissions, applicable taxes, closing costs, etc.”
This signals that Affleck has relinquished his stake in the property, which TMZ reports he did “for free.” This allows Lopez to be the sole person to profit from the home when they sell it. While this cuts financial ties between the couple, it also hints that there is no animosity between them.
Lopez and Affleck have been in public together on multiple occasions since they divorced. They both also remain active in the lives of their children.
