Bethenny Frankel Addresses Potential Reality TV Return; Says the Formula Isn’t the Best for Her
The Real Housewives of New York City fans are going to get a blast from the past later on in 2026. Several original cast members will reunite for a brand-new reality show on a new network. Fans will watch Luann de Lesseps, Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon, and Sonja Morgan navigate Palm Beach on a show created for E!. Ten episodes are planned for the show’s first season. While the news has everyone excited, original viewers noticed that Bethenny Frankel was missing from the cast lineup. The Skinny Girl entrepreneur has now addressed her decision not to appear. Frankel says she’ll be back in Florida protecting her peace.
Bethenny Frankel doesn’t think reality TV is for her anymore
Bethenny Frankel took to Instagram shortly after E! announced plans to feature her former castmates in a new show to discuss the project and what’s to come for her. While Frankel is not included in the cast list, it was not a slight by E! The former Bravo star revealed in a lengthy Instagram Reel that she was asked to join the series and declined the offer.
Frankel said that the project just isn’t for her and that protecting her peace is more important at this point. She went on to say that she doesn’t think the reality TV format fits her vibe these days, and that she prefers the lifestyle she’s created for herself. Still, she said she was thrilled for her former castmates and was excited to see what E! had up its sleeve for the reimagined series.
She’s changed her life a lot since leaving Bravo
Bethenny Frankel was clear years ago that she would never return to Bravo. Still, fans were hoping she’d reconsider now that her old friends are headed to a new network. It seems that the move might have come too late for Frankel. Since leaving Bravo, she has developed a pretty interesting life, free from the reality TV cameras.
Frankel has an expansive real estate portfolio and a huge Instagram following. Her reels keep fans laughing, and it seems she has created a community she loves. She has also been busy raising her daughter, Bryn, after a harrowing and complicated divorce and custody battle with her ex-husband, Jason Hoppy. More recently, Frankel has moved south, opting to call Florida home after selling off her historic Connecticut compound. Frankel seems happy, content, and in no need of reality TV money. When you think about it, her decision to pass on the opportunity makes perfect sense.
Frankel’s former castmates have not commented on her decision to opt out.
