Beyoncé Is Just 1 of 5 Musician Billionaires: Do You Know the Others?
Beyoncé had a pretty amazing 2025. The beloved songstress started off the year with a massive Grammy win and is ending it as a billionaire. She became just the fifth musician to be named a billionaire by Forbes. She is in pretty good company, too, with her husband also on the list. Do you know the other musicians who have become billionaires?
Beyoncé becomes a billionaire
Beyoncé is the newest musician to join Forbes’ billionaire list. Forbes announced that the “Love on Top” singer became a billionaire to finish out 2025. According to the outlet, Beyoncé’s 2023 The Renaissance World Tour grossed over $600 million and is considered one of the most successful music tours of all time. In 2024 and into 2025, her genre-bending album, Cowboy Carter, changed the trajectory of her career and created new commercial opportunities.
To be fair, though, Beyonce’s rise ot biollionaire status was slow and methodical. She brought her music business in-house, managing every aspect of her career. She expanded her business empire with a haircare line, a clothing line, and a liquor business. Between her music money and her business ventures, Beyoncé joined a very elite group of musicians. According to Forbes, she is just one of five musicians who are also billionaires, though other outlets would argue there are a couple more.
She joins Jay-Z and others
Beyoncé isn’t hanging out alone on the billionaire list. She is joined by several other well-known musicians. Beyonce’s husband, Jay-Z, is on the list, too. Jay-Z first reached billionaire status in June 2019, with the bulk of his fortune earned from his music catalog, Roc Nation, and his stakes in several companies, including Uber. Since then, he’s more than doubled his net worth, with several sources putting it at $2.5 billion.
Rhianna is also on the list. The “Umbrella” singer reached billionaire status thanks to her music catalog and Fenty lines. She achieved the milestone in 2021. Today, Rihanna’s net worth is around $1.7 billion. Taylor Swift followed in October 2023, with the massive success of her Eras Tour pushing her into billionaire status. According to Forbes, Swift is the first musician to achieve billionaire status exclusively from their music.
Bruce Springsteen was the fourth musician to be named to Forbes’ billionaire list, achieving the status in July 2024. According to several sources, Springsteen, who sold his music catalog in 2021 for over $500 million, made most of his money through the sale of his catalog, along with his touring income. Springsteen denies being a billionaire, insisting her wealth is “exaggerated” in a chat with The Telegraph.
